Why on earth would you buy at close to 200 with so many shares to sell at 175?!

I can't see a drop being short lived, they are selling £EIGHTY million at 175p to institutions that will be flipping them for months to come.

Agreed Bill, rising on sells always a good sign and means a large buy being worked. I think there was a 400k trade printed after hours yesterday. I expect similar from today. Like you say, I think with everything going on we should expect a holdings RNS from a new party soon. I wonder how long it takes to loud up 3%+

The government have so much to consider with this, it could be a while but then time is of the essence so who knows.

thanks spero, just feels like they should have floated about a year from now, all this jumping about doesn't fill investors/potential investors with confidence and this history will forever be in the BD RNS

jyee7, I take that to mean the platform more generally rather than the bigdish restaurant business which i feel they've given up on.

Will be interesting to see what happens with bigdish/insert new company name here, but clearly completely given up on the restaurant idea - the RNS had no mention of developments there at all and a few trying to distance itself from whole bigdish idea.

I guess to their credit, even though the goalposts keep moving, at least they dont try and flog a dead horse when they see their ideas aren't working. Just remains to be seen whether they eventually chance onto a good one or go out with a whimper.

Problem right now is they have effectively said all they are now is an unproven technology platform, and one that hasn't been the best up to now, albeit a constant work in progress and I just can't see this platform being valued at anywhere near the £5m market cap. Big Dish are almost trying to position themselves as venture capitalists now, and effectively hope to get lucky in a start up or two that goes on to big things but there is no short term dream ticket as even if one or two DO make it and BD has a meaningful holding in it, you're talking 2yrs+ before you can begin to think anything comes from it.

Would like to know other people's thoughts, especially non holders like me, happy to go to a private group if there is one so as not to annoy holders who might say im deramping.

Thought the delivery thing smacked of desperation myself, what was their USP to possibly competent with deliveroo and Uber eats? Was a dead duck from the moment it was mentioned. Think the leasing off the software has more promise, at least in theory, than that ever did!

I've never known a company to change direction more than dish. Fail to plan, plan to fail and all that. Seems like Aidan gets an idea one night and implements it the next!

you have to wonder what the bigger story is here as to why would somebody invest so much without any dilution to the business, it makes no sense to me so perhaps somebody here can make a more educated guess?

Saddest thing is, in any other half decent company it could be seen as a good move just look at ocado who everyone thought was a supermarket chain and is now viewed as a technology company and has expanded exponentially.

for the record I don't hold here, I have no plans to, but I'd like to watch stories like this unfold. Could be worth 500 million in 2 years time or could be long gone
