Thanks for the info nextdeal. The GGP SP will probably rise soon then just before the AAU shares are distributed, as I’d planned to sell them and use the proceeds to buy GGP shares. No big deal as I won’t get many AAU shares, but I’ve still not really got over not being able to fully take advantage of the 4.8p retail offer due to being on holiday at the time and having really bad internet access.

Freddie, it’s not really a good idea to extol the virtues of something until after you’ve agreed a price for it.

Newmont have retained a large interest in GGP and therefore Telfer and are tied in for at least 12 months. They’ve hardly run away from it. It’s in their interest to do and have already done all they can to achieve a smooth transition.

Any ongoing maintenance costs of Telfer are insignificant compared to us having to build our own processing plant. How long would permitting take for a new plant? The permitting and approvals alone is probably worth more than the purchase price. Telfer has been successfully run and proven itself for years, trying to commission a brand new unproven plant has many risks and pitfalls.

I have to agree. Shareholders have already been very patient. Probably due to the fact they at least guessed at what may have been going on behind the scenes. I think the majority of shareholders appreciate the hard work put in by the team at GGP to achieve this acquisition, however they have received a salary for this and unlike most p.i.’s they obviously had prior knowledge of the placing at 4.8p and so were well prepared to be able to take advantage of it, then there are the performance options on top of this. So the GGP team have and probably will benefit further whilst for a long time shareholders have seen their investment languishing. Patience has its limits, I certainly wouldn’t blame anyone for now wanting to see some benefit. Not much can be done until the acquisition is finalised but once it is there really is no excuse.

We would be a very strange bunch of investors if we didn’t want to see some return and if we don’t it is our prerogative to question why.

Yep.This is what’s been stated about the “Base Case Technical Value of Telfer & Havieron (per SRK Competent Persons Report)”

“SRK’s Technical value for Telfer and Havieron indicates significant value from the integrated project using conservative assumptions without considering upside opportunities”

So they haven’t over egged the pudding in fact the opposite they’ve erred on the cautious side. The proof will indeed be in the pudding.

So if Greatland Gold were to find even a “half Havieron” within trucking distance of Telfer what would it be? Alright I suppose? Better than nowt, maybe? Just, ok? Meh?

I don’t think it has to multiply the SP by X10 or whatever to justify being described as “a game changer”.

I bet the other Telfer hangers on hope Greatland don’t find anything. What they gonna do if GGP manages to “fill the mill” and utilise both trains with their own ore.
