The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Morning Thorp. Yes that is also plausible. A couple of points I am trying to reconcile 1) On a very basic level, why call this SVP "Cascade" in the first place ? Craig Flashner and Cascadellc.com and the Healthcare link could be a red herring........ 2) If Sev is being protected "for a later date" why are we still messing about with the likes of YA at times of need. Whichever way this stacks up,the tax haven of Delaware would certainly appear beneficial in terms of limiting a tax liability on sizeable profits given a sale (to Mobileye/Intel ?). Very interested to see if Cascade take the options.Either way,I am continuing to see the possibility of an excellent return here so all good. imo, dyor etc
Morning Ahmir. "Over a million businessesmore than 50 percent of publicly traded companies in the U.S. and more than 60 percent of Fortune 500 companiesare incorporated in Delaware." Delaware is often regarded as a tax haven so Cascade registering there could purely be for this purpose. https://www.delawareinc.com/llc/advantages-of-llc/
Just to throw my 2 penneth into the mix. It is plausible that Cascade are a back-door vehicle for Mobileye but I do not believe this is the case. To my knowledge,Craig Flashner is the only named Cascade Director that we are aware of with the others being tucked away nicely behind the Delaware company incorporation benefits of non-disclosure.He operates in the specialist healthcare management industry.I see no links to Mobileye. Cascadellc.com also operate in the healthcare sector as a sizeable real estate investment and management firm, acquiring under-performing healthcare facilities, improving them via capital investment and then leasing them to carefully chosen tenants. Whilst I appreciate this is a tenuous link, the 2 parties operate in the same sector and are highly likely to know each other. The make-up of the Cascadellc.com board "fits" with the Israeli influence of the players here including Mobileye. Our "Cascade" has been established as an SVP which I am interpreting as a Special Vehicle set up specifically for the investment into Sev and keeps any subsequent transactions of purchase/sale clean and uncomplicated. For me,this all points to GT having approached "Cascade" via the network for investment and Craig Flashner plus "friends" have invested. The detail of options timescales, sums involved and listing requirements have been put together based on GT`s expected development of the business.I would guess that these discusions would also have included an exit route for all parties. We have looked at this before and dismissed it but this is where my money would sit. Just my opinion, dyor etc
Let`s hope so as I need to be sensible about time-frames when the investment is not being productive for me.I could have trebled this alongside some holdings elsewhere. The real intrigue for me here is the answer to the Cascade question and, being honest with myself, the only reason I am invested here.Once I get that answer,I will be out of here with a sackful of profit or losses to be recovered elsewhere. The value for me is in the IP rather than the fundamentals potential so this lends itself towards a T/O and hopefully a good return and reasonably quick exit (months).I won`t be hanging around for years. All imho, dyor etc etc
Yep Ahmir, clock ticking on the expiry of Cascade options. They have now had sufficient time to have a good look at Sev from the inside out so any suggestion of the options being taken will set this alight. If not, then it is more of the same here until significant news break in whatever guise that might be,contracts or T/O interest. I am still wearing my "patience" hat and will review it at year end.
Morning mate. I will substitute Tom and Jerry with Ben and Jerry ha ha......or maybe AntnDec.
Strange direction taken with some of these weekend posts.Reminds me of Tom Hardy`s portrayal of Ronnie and Reggie Kray where he played both roles in the film. GT, send positive news pronto before ChasnDave or Tom and Jerry grace the board........
Well well well what do we have here then........ Current mid-price 3p still only values our Mcap at 4.26m versus Cascade`s investment at 14m. Has GT pulled another rabbit out of the hat ?
Quite right Ahmir. The only words that I will give full credibility to are those written in an RNS.Outside of that is speculative discussion or guesswork which is fine but it needs to be labelled in that way. Cheers
Ha Ha Ahmir. The kettle just boiled over..........The paint on the wall is now dry........and GT, time to pull your finger out and get some good news flowing.......
This is what we are currently priced at versus Cascade`s rounds of investment which values us at £14m (and that`s only breakeven for them). If Cascade are right then the current SP entry is a dream for some and happy days for the rest. IMHO.DYOR.
Morning Ahmir. GT pulled one out of the hat when he got Cascade on board so I am optimistic that one or two rabbits are still to show their faces.Imho, that`s all it will take to get a bit of momentum going here.Let`s hope he has been using this "quiet" period productively. Any sniff of interest from Intel/Mobileye and the SP will soon remind us why Cascade paid 11p for their take on the "potential". Cheers
than a RyanAir departure lounge....... Cascade, will they won`t they, that is the question. At least we are inching towards finding out.Ditto with the Intel/Mobileye T/O. GLA Cheers.
Ha Ha nice one mate. Was in good shape already but the change to greek yoghurt and honey was too much for the wife who accused me of having an affair, filed for divorce and laid claim to half of my Sev investment.I said fine,I only have half left anyway although I couldn`t tell you who put their hand in my back pocket when I wasn`t looking and stole the other half ha ha. For the sake of clarity, the above is a fictitious made up account of events and there is no truth in it at all.........come to think of it,we have had the odd one or two of these kind of posts on here before.......... Cheers
Ha Ha Yep,defo keep an eye, sorry both eyes, on Ahmir.I used to like a full English breakfast after a swim or a run and he had me eating greek yoghurt with honey in no time at all..............say no more............
Yep,get your drift Brand.
Thorp, they seem to have a penchant for the same shares as well Sev/Wsg.The words Zero and Credibility spring to mind.Silly games.
Always try to ignore Ahmir but don`t mind a little battle as and when ha ha.Yep,I noticed a couple of "visitors" last night supplemented by our recent little trio (nice response Brand). Cheers.
Ian B.........are you invested ? thinking of investing at this bargain SP ? protecting the world from investing in Sev ? or just passing time ? In the meantime,I will take heart from the fact that Mobileye are beavering away introducing Sev tech to its esteemed clients.
Happy to listen if you have something sensible to say mate.......
