It depends on your entry price and if you need the cash. These are a stable dividend payer and are currently low. I wouldnt sell under 1700

Believe me they will be. They are running a business on behalf of the share holders

GUESSING it looks to me that the board have been a bit sneaky and used the pandemic to stop the divi and channel the funds to debt repayment (shareholders pay off debt). I think they knew they could afford to pay the divi and keep going but saw the opportunity to reduce quicker. Not brilliant as a shareholder but tough management which is sometimes needed to get yourself out of a whole imho

At the minute this has clearly back fired (in terms of SP) as the market has taken the fearful approach that the debt is unmanageable and long term prospects are dim. I think the market has got it wrong (to a certain degree) BUT the question now is how the board approaches the next update. HOPEFULLY they see the damage (surely??) and the fix is pretty easy if possible. Continue to reduce debt, reintroduce the divi and stop the reduce in revenue (this is the difficult one needs innovation)

Yes exactly. In fact very rarely do I see mm's in the auction. Most of the large orders come from intuitions or PI's with DMA who need that liquidity (this is how I use it). I would expect the funds to use this method or icebergs to close/reduce

The UT algo will show as a BUY when in the auction the book is more weighted on the BID side or SELL when OFFER weighted

Most Mm to mm transactions will show as OT off book and dont have to be reported in real time. Often they show up after hours even though they have been worked over the last 48 hr's (They used to have 48 hrs after completion to disclose not sure if its changed)

CAM the UT is the price the post market auction closes at. The algo scans the order book and the UT price is derived at the price which would fulfil the most orders on both sides of the book. MM's can have orders on the book in the auction but so can brokers of PI's with DMA

Thats the thing Sudnal so many have been BUYING and averaging down and are now holding. This means the sellers are drying up, which in turn means buying pressure with huge numbers of borrow shares to be bought back

BIG decision that one..strong opposition especially given timing with recession etc etc

Still somethings got to pay for the bailouts +

Cam shorttracker only counts positions > 0.49%..systems like Euroclear or infront finance expose *ALL* positions. Over time I have found as a very rough average there are usually at least as many short < 0.49% as those >0.49%, hence double the shorttracker %

Although to be fair many times the sum of those less than 0.49% short is GREATER than the sum of those greater than 0.49% so its more than double

Look on a weekly chart at the candlesticks..quite a nice morning star from the last 3 weeks (a bigger a gap on the doji would be best) . They are pretty accurate (circa 75% from a bad memory)

In my experience using a Euroclear account (which gives month end in arrears ALL short positions) you can roughly double the short tracker number. So we are looking at closer to 7.5% imho. I GUESS they are holding out for the update being poor / worse than anticipate? Which I really dont get after the decent RNS (no bankruptcy risk) and 22 broker estimates on revenue giving just an 11% drop yoyo 2020/2021..there again they dont have to cover the dividend..yet

JHFH I worked with fund managers for about 10 years (Life & Pensions - not short funds) and believe me its getting really tight (even if there wasnt an update due on the back of a good rns (debt reduction)) . Im surprised none have them have already at least reduced. I suppose its easier when you are playing with someone else's money. Scum bags

Lets not also forget that the majority of fund managers (short in this case) use chart analysis to gauge their exit and entry points
