It was, as expected, an excellent summary of the year and an insight of what’s to come. Negative comments started approx 2 days before and insisted on what the shape the results should take. On the day, further negative comments were made, talking about the CEO and companies credibility and that there was missing news etc. The share price dropped relatively small amounts for two days. However, more news arrived 2 days later and the price increased by approx 30% over 4 days and almost 50% in two weeks. The naysayers disappeared for a while.

The take home message, DYOR and don't let random negative nellys sway you. Manage your expectations.

What we can ask is if the Avacta's financial requirements over the next few years is covered by the LG? The answer is a resounding yes.

Very positive news.

Notice how the results were announced last year. Initial update on Integumen a few days before results. Then big news two days later which results in a 28% share price rise over the following week. I'm expecting something similar this year (for new comers please read last years results to manage expectations).

You'll find this blurb on most london stock exchange companies e.g. cineworld has wonderful language and that's the main market. Nothing to do with the nomad. Secondly saliva tests are not banned around the world.

@Bella, Avacta made an antigen test which was for saliva use but then reverted to AN. But from reading the article you linked it is clear that they also worked on a saliva based antibody test. Great find it had completely passed me by.

Putting it in perspective, according to the Thrombosis UK, one person dies from recurrent venous thromboembolism globally every six seconds. 1 in 4 people die due to reasons related to blood clots. 900,000 people afflicted by deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. The anticoagulant drug market is worth in excess of $20Bn and will likely double over the next 6 years.

Well said Templar. the key here is that the meeting on Thursday is for announcing Avacta's unaudited interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2021. Anything extra on Thursday is just a bonus at this stage. I'm personally expecting general news potentially Home Use Approval as part of the presentation, but most likely in a separate RNS that will follow shortly after.

It will certainly be higher when the big news lands.

I am not a big fan of Cue Health but seeing them IPO at $2.3 billion puts things in perspective as to where the testing industry is going. In fact, covid-19 is here to stay for a while with some experts predicting that testing could well be here until mid-2023 and extensive use of the more accurate tests will follow suit. I am seeing Avacta diversifying their diagnostics to encompass later flow testing (point of care) for other pathogens which will certainly keep the revenues continuing for the foreseeable future. One advantage that Avacta has over other companies is the speed at which they can identify different affimers for detection purposes.

Once the scale-up is confirmed, I don't see why the valuation just for the diagnostics would be any less than $2.3bn probably much higher than this. I would have to agree that "It's easy for me to see AVCT becoming a FTSE100 company".

I know that there were a few on here discussing the possible multiple from here and mentioned what Myles McNulty had said i.e. 100x. He clarified recently:

"it was originally from my initial entry of 17.2p, but a round £20 seems the obvious LT target..! 100% focus now on whether Royal Marsden has given @avacta #AVCT permission to discuss the initial data, in 48 hours' time.

Or must we wait until full PK data, in Nov/Dec..?"

By the day of the presentation (Thursday 30th), note that the AVA6000 trial will be progressing well. By now some patients will have received an accumulative dose of around 1000mg /m2. In of itself this will be a fabulous achievement as this is approx. two times the maximum accumulative dose tolerated for dox. If Avacta don't say anything or say something to the effect that the trial is progressing and that they can't say anymore until Pk results which will be announced by the end of year, then in itself this will be highly positive news.

They are likely to give an update suggesting HUA has been achieved via Medusa for the EU and potentially some UK based scaling up efforts. Beyond this, note that these are the unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2021, I am expecting to see the interim results and perhaps if we are lucky, a little more. ;-)
