The only issue i can now see is staffing . I was chatting to my Air std buddy who has been with BA many years and he/she told me that baggage staff and checking desk are manned by BA staff but to get new staff takes approx. 20 weeks from start to of application to actually start work . This is due to security checks . Short haul from Gatwick seems to have gone tits up as its using long haul staff for day trips . Looking at this info i suspect no real sp increase until staff manning is back to normal operations . This sp will return but will take a lot longer than we all thought !

Uptheladder interesting observation bud about set up but the infrastructure is there at any airport ,i remember when we went on route with the vc10 RAF to a new destination and the movements team had already sorted out baggage handling and check-in at destination . i think its not too hard for a company like IAG to use alternate airports short haul absolutely and leave long haul where it is but to be fair its the same process for both . If the Raf can do it why not a public company

well there are views and views people but one thing no ones mention profit profit and profit .If you reduce your flights you reduce profits .If you raise your prices too much to combat the profit loss you risk the customer looks to other carriers to fly , Climate change crap markets don't care on climate changed . The market looks at profit and looks like that latest reduction will hit profit hard , umm .Long term now for me looks like ill be buying again at 100p and just put them to bed for 2 years then sell up and enjoy . There is no quick fix here unless IAG start to fly from Stansted to combat Heathrow's reduction of flights

Rougue has a point . I am going to see what the sp looks like mid sept if near mty entry point im out and will come back in as may drop below 100p .
You see if the fuel prices go to 2-3k per house hold that's there holiday gone for 2023 and if Heathrow and BA dont get staff in to get them back to normal i can not see this sp going up past 150 for a very long time . November is only 4 months from now and heating will be turned up . No matter how full the aircrafts are BA are running at a reduced service and that is reduced profit . Something to mull over and before you ask sudi im in at 1.24

sundezena : may be the news of cancelled and restricted flights from Heathrow could be a factor why the sp is not rising . If you cant maximize supply then profit will be affected , fundamentals of business my friend .

livestock : hit it on the nail there bud my Air Std training took 6 weeks with the RAF and that's cutting it , fire, evacuation, emergency equipment , catering , flight checks list goes on but im sure this will all be sorted by sept when the holiday season comes to a close . BA has cut nearly 30,000 flights from its April-to-October schedule in response to staffing problems. errr sudi maybe this is what the market are looking at not the price of oil lol
