Sundezena : Looks like BA have smelt the coffee lol now maybe they can start to compete . i just got back from thailand went with emirates and the 1380 was full every seat full . Looks like long haul is coming back . OH and the reason i did not choose BA as a carrier they don't fly from Manchester - Thailand and if i did the price is just too much compared with the Arabic airlines
Gazzleberry : maybe 30k down but my dividends have paid me 35k over the years ummmm maybe you should look at the bigger picture yes i have amassed alot of shares to achieve this . So you could say i have gained 5 k :)
Gazzleberry : So you sell over xmas and don't get what's coming in dividends feb . Great investing ? over the years i have had a average divi of 5% since i invested in Lloyds many years ago so to me it pays better than the bank interest rate . Yes im £30k down on my ave but this will return and a increase in dividends. 2024 going to be good if interest rates stay as they are even drop 1/2 % Lloyds are still bringing in good cash returns from the existing portfolio . But i guess you no best
Also looks like Thai airways are buying too and i think will go for RR engines as they just received one from Boing with rr engines Boeing (BA. N) is in advanced talks to sell around 80 wide-body 787 Dreamliner jets to Thai Airways (THAI. BK) after pulling ahead of Airbus (AIR.PA) in widely watched fleet renewal talks
Hi Fordm maybe its the debt they have can not think of any other link to stop this rising i thought it may catch up with RR as before pandemic . Maybe the city is to cautious . Im going to hang on a while but if metero bank goes lower ill have a punt with them . Im in positive money on this , guess just a waiting game
Just done a price check for london - bangkok and IAG comes in with £1047:00 per person for a ticket and emirates comes in with £850 . WTF is going on with pricing same route same i stop over stopover i can see why BA are not competitive im out once this gets to 170p
Fordm is not buying other airlines growth ? looks like there after the slot times once bough can ue any aircraft under IAG wing so to speak . i175 p by xmas but like i say before iag need to be competitive with flight tickets as people will just fly else ware , there's no loyalty in todays world , Just llook at renewing cvar insurance stick with last years quote and they slap anther 15 % on for loyalty lol muppets i say
