If Woodford really believed the NAV where is his
multi million £ buy order ?
If Woodford really believed the NAV where is his
multi million £ buy order ?
Woodford needs to raise cash as he needs to satisfy
Investors who want to sell out of his locked fund . I read he
Is dumping shares into the Patient Capital fund .. the current 54p
Might look quite good soon . As usual dyor
But seriously folks anyone think that a 30% discount to the NAV makes this a speculative buy ? Or a takeover candidate?
I hear Woodford is considering a stake .. says it would fit well with his other selections (joke)
Does Nanoco have a single customer in any of the area they say they are active in ?
Just one order ? Anyone ?
Ok double is an exaduration.. make that 50%
If someone forecast in January that the SPwould double in 6
Months everyone would have cheered .. well it has so be happy . Look at the6 monthchart : nice strong upward trajectory.
The company strategy to sell out of plastic and focus on paper and corrugated packaging seems to me to be in line with the mega trends so I’m a buy and hold and am adding to my holding due to the current weakness which seems to have more to do with the general pessimism caused by the trade talks and Brexit.
Correction : “it can’t be viewed”
Although Nano has been around for many years it can be viewed as an established company. One cannot project earnings or much else for that matter . I first invested about 6 years ago on the hope of its new technology and impressive lineup of employees. After the initial hype I sold >100 but gradually bought again on news this the partnerships and the stated 13 OEMs testing our products in Display , possibilities in Solar, medical and Agriculture After a year of no concrete sales in any of these area I sold out again around 45 where I now sit.unlike the US where non profit companies can soar to amazing heights it’s no so in the UK. So while I think that Nano has amazing poss I need to see evidence of revenue before I dip my toe in the water again .
Previously I posted that WH Smith results indicate how SSP will perform.Well they just posted great figures so I’m adding more here.
As a long term holder I viewed today’s results with mixed emotions.
I’m pleased with the progress in the various potential
Markets outside display although lighting, other than agricultural
Lighting seems to be off the radar for now.
I’m disappointed that we are not further along with sales in the display area as that is where I expected the big sales to come from as the potential market is so big. That said with only Samsung and Nanosys to share the multi billion market with I’m staying invested .
This looks like a great deal for Ocado. They get about €1 billion
To set up a new subsidiary who will primarily
Sell it’s own products while hosting premium
Groceries from M&S which will only drive new customers
To its site than it would normally have. It also showcases a
Model for niche players like bio to enter the online market
Which they would not be able to enter alone.
Max, If you'd bought 1 IBM share when it was first floated you would have become a millionaire. My advice therefore is to buy 1 share in your favourite Graphene company and wait for it to produce its magic. There is a department at Manchester Uni which is doing research into Graphene which may be a source of info..
Although I invested in Ocado as a pure food delivery play
I’m excited by this new direction. Selling their automated warehousing software , delivery and automation , derisks the business model and moves it to a pure tech and consultancy play . The market for their expertise is worldwide and consultancy and licensing revenue can grow . The solution doesn’t need to be restricted to food either .
I thought that the sell off in Nov/dec was deliberate by “market forces” . I put this down to someone trying to engineer a cheap buy in price as a prelude to a bid. No RNS has surfaced showing a material stake in the company . The SP has found a solid floor at 200p so I’ve being buying in with a target of 250p .
Trade with the EU will continue after a No-Deal Brexit but the UK will be able to choose where it buys its wine , cheese beet clothing shoes from OUTSIDE the EU .. we can decide not to charge tariffs as we won’t be a protectionist area like the EU is resulting in cheaper goods in the shops and a Breyer deal for the third world reducing poverty.
My guess is that PIs have drawn down their money because they panicked in Dec. As the market see-sawed producing huge churn out and back in to stocks . While bad for portfolio holders this is producing huge fees for HL. IMHO of course .. if I’m right I expect a big increase in fees for the last qtr 2018 ... buy
Market rerating going on free trade optimism . No deal Brexit will be great ! The market says so .
