As an aside I’d also just like to say that years ago I held a share which was covered by Panmure Gordon which over years gave glowing reports and an ever increasing sp forecast . The company went bust due to massive borrowings which the directors gouged leaving investors with nothing.
ABSLOVECHILD: thanks for your research . That analyst report does sound pretty negative and whether the weaknesses identified outweigh the expansion ongoing through buyouts (Wells Fargo ) I cant really tell but if it results in the sp falling then as a “trend is your friend” investor I will reduce accordingly.
All the news is good yet the sp is being hammered. I’ve noticed a 4.5% increase in short positions since June . Do the shorts have inside information ? If they had I’m sure it would have surfaced by now. I’m disappointed the bod hasn’t issued a statement like “we see no reason for the erratic movement in the sp” . I’ll be buying more at these discounted prices .
"the bank also noted that if Rentokill was capable of maintaining its present rate of growth , aided by acquisitions, it saw a 35% potential upside to the firm by 2019, leading it to up its target price from 290p to 440p."
At last the BOD have realized that what they need to do is open a branch in every big railway station and airport in Europe and sell candy bars bottles of Pop cheese sanwitches fit £6 and Hello magazine. That’s what the punters want 👍
AROK1975 : so you reply with no facts just a bit of name calling .Lebanon before 1975 was a civilized Christian country .. plenty of historical evidence documentaries available . Then the crazy ones arrived , slaughtered thousands and turned it into the sorry state you turn everywhere into where you set your jackboot.
Snige: Iran supports an insurrection in Yemen . Supplies rockets to the Hutties to attack Saudi. Has it’s own army in Lebanon.. hizbullah creating all sorts of mischief in Syria. Nothing positive comes from the ayatollahs just killing and misery ... like most of the Islamic leaders which is why I suppose you live in a civilized country.

Apple have announced that it will use OLED screens from 2019.
Years ago I decided that the sp would be hampered by the PPI claims hanging over it. So it has transpired but that is set to end next year. It’s quite possible Lloy has over provisioned for this remaining risk. At current prices those who are prepared to wait for 2019 should be hansomly rewarded as the sp rises to a more reasonable £1 - £1.20 with an 8% divvy. Time to fill your boots !
Barclays raise to overweight with a 90p target . The long sideways move could be coming to an end
taking customers from Barclays, charging 11.95 per trade , plus .45% charge per annum charge on the total portfolio means big bucks for HL , 0% interest on cash holdings. The current volatility and market scare stories result in a lot of churn on stock holdings .. looks like a licence to print money. I have my account with HL and this looked like a good way to get some of my charges back. So far so good.
I think Nigwit is one of the most knowledgeable contributors to this board. He /she does extensive investigation and is prepared to share that knowledge with the rest of us for which I for one am extremely grateful and long may it continue.
Two stocks (Nano and Hur) have a similar history : initial euphoria, long low development phase , now the phase where years of work coming to fruition. Both are now neck and neck and it’s anyones guess which will prove the best investment. Someone famous on here has an interest in both .. a bit of hedging and adds to the excitement. Just saying ..
What an opportunity 15% discount on sp today. OK the weather was bad in the 1st qtr .. exceptionally bad . This will effect the full year but the market is always looking a year ahead . I doubled up my stake . ATB

Any news on the trials being undertaken by Wah Hong with 13 OEMs seems to have gone quiet.
I can understand that some of the more technically informed on here are impressed by the technological innovations for themselves and they are impressive but the danger I see is that the management gets spread too thin fascinated by all the wonderful possibilities and miss the prize. If the next RNS reports that 10 oems are using our dots , we have lighting revenue and income from our new best friend then I’ll cut them some slack in pottering about in the shed with their new 2D toy.
For the academics in Nanoco and the university of Manchester this may be very interesting but I think this joint venture is a distraction from our core businesses and gets a thumbs down from me. I wish they’d stop pottering about in the shed and get on with flogging dots .
