Shorts need the sp to go down when they borrow other shareholders shares sell them buy back cheaper and return the borrowed shares. If these shorts were selling a their real holding they wouldn't be trying to talk the share down.

Roger anything is possible. I don't think Hainan will be forcing a low buy out if that is the path that is taken as they have already expressed wanting to work with kodal as a long term partnership on other projects. A buy out is a possibility as kodal minerals plc is a exploration company and is probably eyeing up potential new resource exploration. A mutually negotiated buy out would free Kodal and Bernard's exploration team of geologists to explore other leases that Kodal already have to decide whether the resource is a good proposition to become say a gold mine. There is also potentially lots of news that could come to light at any point like a resource update on the lithium.

I was considering selling down £20k to invest into my open £20k opwn allowance for my share ISA. Just think about this little point. Why would Hainan and Kodal be happy to agree a MoU if they didn't think it was a profitable agreement. Remember we haven't had the latest resource update, we haven't heard any news on any of our Gold resource test drilling, futures in gold are also of big interest to Hainan and the Malian government. This isn't just a single lithium mine it's a collaboration between a fully professional outfit able to get it out of the ground. Patience is a golden virtue.

The 3 way split is a fair outcome. Remember the Malian government has allowed Kodal to investigate the resources. Then Hainan have provided the financing to bring this clean energy lithium to production. With the mining equipment manufacturer advising on site. Weather has improved and now there is a MoU agreed between all 3 parties. Production in Q1 2025 has now become a reality. I'm very impressed with the way the BOD has successfully reached this point and secured a mining future.
