Quite possible. Watch the full year Webcast. wo very interesting things came out of the analyst Q&A: 1.) Playtech are sticking to the 40% of profit model for divi's. I make that 13p a share for full year and 58p for the WMH cash distribution. 71p total, or 11%. 2.) Mor said PTEC are busy with lots of US based stuff in the background and will be reporting to the market in the coming few months. Mor said PTEC are NOT behind the curve (alluding to 888's Nevada license application) So for sure, lots of news coming and lots of SP drivers still yet to come imo. GLA.
We've just got a well run, cash rich, fast growing company here that's in the right sector at the right time. US Federal gaming bill dated for spring (exact springtime date definition open for debate) could add another dump of gasoline onto the fire if or when it gets passed. Broker targets up to 750p and I think we'll see a fresh round of upgrades starting later this week.
April 24th -ex-divi date (approx 13p) April 25th -trading statement (IMS) and then at some point either around or before then imo we'll be getting some news about just what the company is going to do with all that cash from WMH. Sagi's going to want a special divi. The market is going to want to see how PTEC can spend some of it in preparation for to-be-regulated markets (think America). With £424m though, we can certainly have the best of both worlds imo.
PTEC mail their divi's out in cheques made out in €. You'd just get one of those, might have the full year divi rolled in with it if they decide to do it that way, or it might be sent as a separate cheque. The WHO sale has to complete next month, so they'll have the cash in weeks anyway.
US investors can buy on the OTC BB using the EPIC EIHDF (888 Holdings). Just type that epic or "888 holdings" into Yahoo! Finance if you want a quote on it. Remember that quote will come back in USD. Most US institutions that would want to take a position would just buy on the LSE once they wake up at 14:30 GMT. The 888 OTC BB listing is I assume an ADR listing (I've not researched it) established on a like for like basis judging by the price (some ADR's for other companies can represent a multiple of the UK share, so I buy 1 ADR in the US but really I am buying 10 UK shares). ADR's (American Depository Receipt) exist to open up the share to the US private investor base. If a guy in the US buys an ADR then he buys from a pool that a US institution is holding, that institution then buys from the UK market to replenish. The US based OTC BB stands for Over The Counter Bulletin Board (aka pink sheet) and can be thought of as the equivalent of the UK AIM market. Those companies listing ADR's need to meet compliance and report (like AIM companies do), so whilst it's a basic and cheaper US listing than the UK listing, it's still a listing in the US. Barclays for example offer an ADR on the NYSE, though to be on a mainboard with an ADR costs a lot in listing & reporting fee's, pink sheets of course are cheaper. Hope that helps Laureate. All imo and good luck.
888 work with Caesars & Treasure Island. Nevada ain't going to tell them to "Foxtrot Oscar" are they? -Not when they've just rushed to sign the bill and enter the latest land grab in American history. Nevada already approved the Caesars tie in back in 2011. So they can't very well kibosh this pending application?
SHARE BUY BACK Not at +£6 they won't RE-INVEST Yes they could do but PTEC have struggled to spend cash piles before let alone a £409m mountain SPECIAL DIVI Firmly on the cards imo. Announced in March with full year subject to being paid by WMH? Special divi could add another 10%? 15%? to the SP in a blink.
http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=1000826206 The analysts' consensus is that Playtech will make £409 million on the sale of its stake, a huge sum for the company which underscores the venture's success. "We are not disappointed by the pending sale of William Hill Online," says Weizer. "It's the right thing to do for all the parties involved. William Hill Online is a huge success, and the time has come to split." Playtech will have three options after selling its stake in the venture: distribute a special, higher than usual, dividend; initiate a share buy-back; or invest a substantial part of the proceeds back into the company.
http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/01/24/us-playtech-idUSTRE80N0DZ20120124 (Reuters) - Playtech, the world's biggest provider of online gaming software, is holding talks with a number of potential partners in the United States as it gears up for the possible re-opening of the potentially lucrative market, CEO Mor Weizer said. "We have lots of potential customers that approached us or that we approached that would like to have us as their suppliers of online gaming products when the market opens up," Weizer told Reuters in an interview on Tuesday.
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/e014be2e-714b-11e2-9056-00144feab49a.html#ixzz2M1qktb30 “Most analysts estimate the valuation [of Playtech’s WHO stake] to be between €400m-€500m, so we expect a full valuation,” said Mr Weizer. “We have started thinking about our life post-William Hill … there are a lot of potential strategic alternatives and we look forward to exploring those.”
I was thinking about some of the comments Mor Weizer put out recently "we have been thinking about life after WHO". He's putting comments like that out there to let the market know they have a strategy for the cash. Playtech fully expect WMH to buy the stake, and WMH would be stupid not to frankly. Add WMH to your alerts for Friday morning. Nubie: Any guess on the valuation mate? Come on, let's have a little wager ;-)
Yes, I think so too. WMH are going to have to then arrange some pretty big things to make the deal happen, like issuing equity to raise the cash for PTEC. I guess they only have to state their intent on Friday. In the weeks following they have to raise the cash to pay us in April (if indeed they decide to buy it).
