Some huge trades going through now 2 million shares in three trades....sells or buys ??? At 70p they look like negotiated buys! Somethings definately a foot.

Mmmmmh seems to have been a lot of activity on the buying side over the last two days, it's been a sea of blue. Someone over on iii a few weeks ago said AMS wasn't big enough to be of any interest to the BIG BOYS. Well I'm not so sure about that, woundcare and closure by glueing has gathered momentum over the last few years and along with it so has AMS with their expanding products, profit and reach into the market place. Their reputation is growing and as well as penetration into the American market there is the whole of Asia to consider! I think AMS look very tempting to the larger corporations...why wait and pay twice as much for a company with this much potential!

Nice to have you on board....as you can see it's very quiet on this board. I've held these for 12 months now and they're doing very nicely. In my opinion Advanced have still got to realise the full potential of liquid band sales in The States and their profit for the first half of 2010 was up 140% on 2009. The brand new research facility opened early in the year will help strengthen their product range, and you're right this can only create interest from the Big Boys. The iii discussion board is much more active and I often nip on to read the excellent posts by 'warriorman' and the gang over there. Good luck with your investment fella !

Don Evans and Co are building a very healthy ( no pun intended) business here and they know it! They are steadily growing the company with the acquisition Corpora last year and the opening of a brand new research facility this year. With a steady increase in profits and more pnentration into the American market this year the future looks bright for AMS. As well as Consort Medical I'm sure AMS's progress has been noted by more companies in the healthcare industry and as such I'm sure it won't be the first bid for the company, or indeed Consort's last. AMS have stayed under the radar for some while but with more media exposure in the press this could soon change over the rest of the year.

A solid company with a proven track recored ( and profitable). Stood up pretty well in last years crash and bounced back nicely. Its Liquiband range is already well established in Europe and they are looking to break into the 200 million dollar USA market using Cardinal Health to handle the marketing and distribution. They specialise in woundcare closure by glueing the wound shut instead of stitching.There is a move over to this technique becasue not only is it quicker, more hygienic but it's cheaper. With a brand new research facility and another large market to sell into this company will only grow IMHO. As always though DYOR.
