Mmmmhh talk about a white knuckle ride with this share. Mind you Director dealings are not always as straight forward as they look, even if they do have the inevitable initial affect on the share price. In the great scheme of things £72,000 is not a massive amount and people release tied up capital for many reasons, although it's always prudent to take notice of the subsequent aftermath.
I balance that against the single £250,000 buy at a similar price yesterday, an amount I'm sure warranted a certain amount of inside knowledge before purchase. Plus buys were still coming in today. So there's a balance there too.
At the end of the day it's the longterm that matters if you're happy with the current position, fundamentals and potential.
Won't stop me watching carefully tomorrow though and the days that follow.
Good luck to you all, which ever way you jump.
Not sure why there's so much criticism of one another here, we all want the same thing. It's not that long since this was languishing in single figures and now base camp appears to be in the high 20's, so certainly something to celebrate. Although being a little cautious, I'll be happier when we've had a few months at this level or higher in order to be certain.
I understand the excitement here because there's a lot in the pipeline and many avenues open to both key technologies that SYM is pushing. I also understand Crazy and Mje's point of view because I lean that way myself, I don't see that in anyway as de-ramping, just a cautious view in a share you're excited about but still know there needs to be further confirmation and media coverage to push us up to the next level. I've learnt over the years to temper my excitement with a little pragmatism at times.
It's exciting though and there is an anticipation of what the next RNS will contain. One thing I am surprised about is the lack of media coverage that last RNS got. I hope Michael and the team are really pushing to get articles out there. I've always said you can make the best cakes in the world but if know one knows about them then you don't sell many.
I wish you all the very best guys and here's hoping this year is a transformational one for SYM.
Yeah it will be an interesting day tomorrow FOTF...if it continues north this could end up being a pivotal week in terms of stability above the norm. A higher base camp would be really positive after so many retreats in the share price.
Pretty impressive looking at those significant sells through the day, particularly in the afternoon and yet the share price rose significantly. Hopefully some significant buyers in the wings. Sometimes it's easy to get a little excited when you're in a share and positive news comes along, but I must admit I like the look of that trend. Be interesting to see how it opens tomorrow.
Lol....We certainly did, I was 9 then...
Could be anything....like Pilgrim says people moving in and out. People who bought in down in single figures taking profit. Day traders finally clearing. II's perhaps starting to take interest. We've had a few false dawns here, but the fact it's come back up again so quickly is encouraging. Let's hope it holds and climbs through the week and holds steady until the official report comes out....Good luck to you all.
Well I hope it's not that clear an obvious dalgarno, especially to the major ii's, because at the moment they're not rushing into this share. I'd much rather hope there's further work that needs to be done in order to fully make a positive statement regarding covid-19 and convince the ii's this has real potential. in that area, because once that's done, hopefully the flood gates will open....Good luck to you and all holders.
The official report is still to come out regarding the coronavirus in cows and they've already stated that there shouldn't be much difference, if any at all from the preliminary results. So when that is finally announced, then that itself should bolster things here if the results are similar.
If they went on and got a result against Covid-19 then God knows what would happen to the share price then. Difficult not to get too excited about that, but there has to be some sort of realism and that's there's going to be I'm sure a significant difference when dealing with the ability to kill both viruses on plastic surfaces.
The potential though is tinglingly tangible !
Be nice to see sells far out weighing buys and the share price holding or moving up, always a good sign that ii's may be starting to accumulate and larger orders are being filed. They'll have been evaluating this since last week's news for sure, here's hoping they think this has got real legs.
Well it's been an exciting week hasn't it, but I'm sure there's quite a few old timers in SYM that are just sat back quietly watching. Like the institutional investors they know there's been a few false dawns here with the price climbing quickly but then falling back.
The old timers of course are already invested unlike many of the ii's who will be busy researching what this weeks news really means and the potential and revenue it could generate.
If they conclude the future is potentially significant it would only take a couple of them to make a move and this could rocket. On the other hand if no-one moves this could settle back down to low 20's / high teens until further news emerges.
It's why we buy into these companies though isn't it, potential. As a holder myself I'd be looking for Michael and his team to be testing d2p on the human coronavirus, which I'm sure they're desperately trying to set up, as time is the essence, with, I'm sure other companies looking into this. If they got a result with that then SYM would take off.
Michael also comes across well in interviews, which is very reassuring. His responses are measured and yet positive which for me at least illustrates they're still pushing forward on many fronts.
I did lower my average this week by selling 20% simply because over my years trading I've learnt to take a little off the table when the goings good and reduce my exposure a little.
I wish you all well my fellow SYM 'er's and hope the company ends up bearing plenty of fruit.
I sold 20% of my hold at 31, which represents half my original stake. Takes my average down 6p. Always learnt to take a little off the table when the goings good. Money back in the bank and better protection against loss.
