Zimbabwe needs foreign investment to develop their diamond and gold mining industries.

There have been concerns from foreign investment for a long time...

So what better PR exercise from Emmerson Mnangagwa to shine a spot light on the story that under his ruling there will be fair returns to foreign investment.

We have correctly returned diamonds to Vast.. all this talk about "Do the diamonds still exist" and "Have they been swapped over to devalue", doesn't anyone really think this forms part of the PR story from Zimbabwe.. Any issues would have been corrected before handover of the diamonds to Vast, if indeed there were any issues.

This story will go along way to reduce concerns of foreign investment and help Zimbabwe reach the scale up mining numbers it wants to achieve in 2023.

Settlement Discussions Update

Vast Resources plc, the AIM-listed mining company, wishes to announce a further update to the RNS of 23 January 2023 regarding the settlement of historic claims.

The Company advises that as at 1 February, 2023 the High Court of Zimbabwe granted a default Order against the Minister of Mines & Mining Development relating to the release of the historic parcel of 129,400 carats of rough diamonds held in safe custody at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe ("Historic Parcel"). The signed High Court Order is expected in the coming days.

Unopposed Motions
An unopposed motion in the law is one where the other party or parties to the lawsuit do not fight against or counter your request. Here, a judge would not receive any opposition from the plaintiff after the defendant files a motion for summary judgment, leaving the judge little reason not to grant the defendant's motion.

I was hoping for a RNS to comment about the media speculation from the FT.

But an updated Q&A /RNS from the company about potential exchange moves and prerequisites would certainly remove doubt and support the share price.

Any sizable buys are going above the offer.. and sells being offered more than the bid.
