We are close now I think. A great buying opportunity IMO at these prices. Last placing at 46p not long ago. Yes the price has drifted but only due to things taking longer then expected.

Bad timing. I have a feeling this will turn now in a big way. It was always going to take time to put this deal together. Three different companies moving into XPL is a huge project to undertake. However it's taking longer then even the most patient investors expected (princess Kim and her three week trade notwithstanding) but we are now very close IMO. Good luck

If there's a suspension pending a RTO which is the obvious outcome then we'd be suspended when then RNS is released. Most likely at 7 am one morning. So yes locked in until the RTO is complete. No bad thing if what the company have been about comes to fruition. Should be an interesting week.

Happy New Year...Fingers crossed that 2014 will finally be TOM's year. The recent excellent news regarding the water permit and with the promise of much more to come not only from Red Leaf and supermajor Total but also from TOM bodes extremely well for TOM to be a serious multi bagger in 2014. The likely end game has always been a take out and with the major shareholders looking a takeout price of around 25p this would still only value TOM at approx 50% of the NPV of the Holliday block project. Not difficult to see that TOM could easily reach new all time highs this year. If REM could go up 25 times or more last year then why not TOM to be the star performer of 2014? Here's to a great year. Liquid Millionaire 25 Oct'13 - 13:00 - 46 of 104 0 0 Good afternoon euclid5. Not sure that there will be a placing at 100p. The deal is at 100p and will propel the new co straight in to the FTSE350. This is according to the management who I met just prior to the IPO. They were imo impressive and the recent share price performance would tend to support that view. However as i stated before you must DYOR of course as i already have. My research leads me to a simple conclusion which is that XPL could well be trading well north of 100p within weeks assuming that the deal is done by the year end. By the way a major new broker has been lined up as soon as the new new entity goes in to the FTSE350 on the back of the deal at 100p.

Importantly, the ministry isn't interfering with any deals (not only oil.gas) that are thrashed out at Provincial/Governorate level. The provincial law (effective June) has now allowed provinces to devise their own deals - giving them greater autonomy. I am trying to find out which Iraqi company Petrel have struck the deal with. The province in question is I believe Basrah. Petrel have done very well to finally get something in Iraq, especially with a company that does have quite lucrative licenses in the south. This Iraqi company is keen to diversify and liked Petrel's other ventures, especially the Irish JV with Woodside. One of the objectives is, I'm told, is to use Petrel to venture into the MENA region to explore for gas/oi. As it's Eid I am unable to make contact with the officials I have good comms. I found about it a week ago from Iraqi contacts that used to give me all the info I posted on here in the past. By the way, my long talks with Teeling at the time he was taking action against me, were pretty fruitful. He admitted to me that he (and the directors) were amazed at how much of the info I posted was so correct, many a time posting details even before they knew about it. The directors actually felt I was an insider at the Iraqi ministry. I did however tell him I was not, and also explained to him who was passing the info on to me. Anyway, wont be posting much, just wanted to make a point that Petrel have, after so many years, clinched a very important deal in Iraq. For a small company like Petrel, it is quite an achievement. I suspect it will be a model deal that will be followed by many others. I know I was scathing about the directors going after licenses in the same league as the majors, however I am not shying away in admitting that they have really come up trumps with this Iraqi JV/deal. I would say it's absolutely transformational. And this time round, Sharistani and his cronies can do nothing about it. The regional provinces holds all the powers with respect to provincial deals - it's enshrined in the new provisional laws. (yes I am the same munna bhai - I will stick to my promise of not posting anything derogative or libelous against Dr Teeling, any directors or any of the companies he is associated with - I promised him that and I will keep to that promise)
