Seems to be all sells these days. MM's keeping the SP around 7p, by increasing spread....but if next set of results are lacklustre, I reckon it could easily fall to 5p. The deafening silence from this company, does not bode well.
Mikey...Yes, this company is kaput under Bravo. Not sure where things will go from here....maybe takeover for the cash value....although this is being burnt to keep the BOD in comfy lifestyle...which we have paid for !. It is hard to believe the incompetence here.....and I agree that an EGM is needed pronto.
Jonjo...Well said sir !. I have held Tesco shares for 20 years and until the last few years, have done very well with decent dividends. I know that the retail scene has changed and that Tesco may never recover to former highs...but, it is still a profitable major player, with a strong management team, which are focused on the future. IMHO there are exciting times ahead !.
Ok, will do. Regards, Iza Muggins
Yep, that's all its worth. I said this months ago and was shouted down. Another dog for my kennels.
Sunshineboy...Trading update ?. That's assuming they are still trading. The silence on here is deafening. One of my worst buys. Oh well, another dog for the kennels.
Ref article in Sunday Mail. Analysts reckon that Tesco will re-instate dividend next month....at 1p per share. It's a start, but far cry from 12p of few years back. Makes me wonder if it is worth hanging on as a LTH ?.
Thelix...you are right...UKOG was pure luck...but aren't most AIM shares ?. For every winner, I have at least 3 losers. I have learnt the hard way, never to invest huge sums in one share. My mantra is " A small profit is better than a big loss". I still hope that OXP will come good...the operative word being " hope ". GL
Thelix you old devil.....just seen your post on UKOG board, advising people of the dangers of fast moving AIM shares. Well, OXP should be safe enough then !. Good job I also have UKOG and have recouped my losses here. C'est la vie.
Gone into reverse transfibrillation....better get the resus trolley....or the undertaker !.
Nurse...quick, fetch the resus trolley...I think we've lost Deadhall !!!.
Servantofallah...good post...my thoughts exactly. Retail sector is shrinking....only the biggest players will survive and gobble up the rest...including Tesco. A good share to hold for the interesting times ahead.
One whiff of bad news ...or continued no news...and this share will tank to 5p. Might be tempted to buy more then.
Flotation price set too high...worth around 75p at most. Should not have paid dividend so soon...raised expectations. Experienced Chairman retired suddenly and left management vacuum. I believe only 5th largest groundworks outfit, so hardly any market muscle. Infrastructure companies out of favour in wake of Carillion debacle. Would buy back in 50-60p.
When VANL first floated, the Mail's Midas gave this company such a glowing report...strong management team, plenty of work and bright prospects. Seems to me that they can't hack it as a public company...too many errors....not least that the Chairman retired soon after the float...strange ?. I might be tempted to buy more at 50p, to lower my average, but I can't see this returning to £1 anytime soon. GLA
Hi KhunG...Any idea what this company is up to at moment...blowed if I know. When Spock was asked about Redhall, he said " There's life Jim, but not as we know it ! ".
This BB is as dead as this share. Methinks Email's £1 end of year price is a tad optimistic...more like 5p break-up value. Some financial guru described RHL as a zombie company...only exists for the benefit of the BOD....and I haven't seen anything to change this view.
Quiet please, people are sleeping here....namely the BOD !!! [ breaking into insane laughter ].
I agree with your strategy....Thelix Life Sciences has a good ring to it !. Oh yes, you forgot to mention....sack the current BOD !!!!.
So, in simple terms, OXP is a cash shell with no products to speak of.
