The BoD's strategy continues to be, as stated last December, continuing development with increasing production at the bigger than ever Jewel in the Crown and, this is my opinion, showing low bidders and low bids the door. One of them at least shows reluctance to leave the table, which I think is a great sign for us LTH. I hate to give Wolf reasons to be optimistic, sharing as I do Ian's view of him, but it is unavoidable in this case.

Thanks, Cephalo. I didn't know they had put a figure of 110m (dollars or pounds?) on it. Ryan's unexampled lunacy is matched only by the cowardice of Martin and Varadkar. They needed to do what is right for the country and not the Green party - even if they risked losing an election, should Ryan walk out. Were they afraid to stand up and give the country all the many many reasons why Barryroe must be developed? It looks like neither man has or had guts. Sad state of affairs - same useless politicians as in England, as Lord Frost points out today in the Telegraph. All they are good for is managing decline in Britain, as he puts it. In Ireland all they are good for is toeing the EU line - maybe no choice: you take their money and you do as you are told. Maybe it will be different if Ireland becomes a big net contributor to the EU budget, which is becoming a thornier issue with every passing year.

Longerwait, how much did you pay for your LOGP shares and how much did you sell them for when you decided to get out?

I take it you were invested in the early years. Else you wouldn't be here. Don't tell us you are here to stop us losing money - I just wouldn't buy that. I am relatively late on the scene myself but my reasoning was simple: the minister gives us a LU or we get compensation. So the odds must be in our favour with the share price so low in recent times. It seems to me they still are.

Well, maybe we had better leave that till a bit later but it is hard to see how LOGP could lose out. I wonder how much of a discount others including Swizz and yourself would accept for a settlement now rather than say three years down the line? Say 35%-40% less than any likely award for which we have an interesting precedent in the Rockhopper case.

Seamus, take advice. It is not possible to have a genuine conversation with such people. Go over to arb lse where you will see what genuine conversations can be like with genuine views expressed about crypto currencies. Just imagine, people actually want to make useful contributions! How often do you see useful contributions here? You know the answer to that.

The Irish government and LG could come out of this smelling of roses ( if you can ignore all those nasty and very expensive imports of oil and gas from around the world). If they haven't thought of it already, the government could refund all LOGP's licence fees (20m). Meanwhile LG takes that 40m that was held in escrow. The 'Partnership' offers the combined total + a small extra sweetener dressed up as palatably as possible to see the reaction of LOGP shareholders. The government now has a minority stake in the new venture and the Greens in Ireland will be very happy. Any one buy this? Maybe LG wouldn't (not wanting any minority stakeholder in his new empire). Just thinking out loud.

So LG is going to gobble up LOGP? It is possible but only if he is willing to pay the price that the major shareholders think satisfactory. Bidding war between LG and the Irish government to make LOGP (and me) go away happy? - is that possible? If so, we are on the pig's back. LG will certainly know he cannot get LOGP for 30m. Maybe LG and the government, both now garnished with impeccable Green aspirations all round, will have a tacit understanding about 'bids' to keep the price down. It will still be more than 30m! Just thinking out loud, as I said.

Maybe the Irish government will start with a £30m offer to put this to bed but I cannot see such a low figure being accepted.

Is a RTO not less likely if LG is calling the shots? Maybe Boldy will have to settle for less than he was hoping. I said a long time ago he should settle for a reasonable compromise - say an extra 5% of the cake? Could LG veto that? I think the other large BEY shareholders would be happy with that, considering that an ECT award is likely to be bigger than anything the Irish Courts would offer as compensation. Just thinking out loud.

I do believe Beardozer is about upgrade LOGP from possible to very possible goldmine. When a bear comes out of hibernation it takes a while for it to get its bearings.
