It will show up soon enough Bhargav.amages to get 2.88p. That's the cheapest I've managed to get them and it takes my average down to 3.06p.
Be brave when others are fearful!
My god, some of you really do not have a clue what's going on here.
The 10m shares are already priced in and directors options are miniscule in terms of dilution.
Regarding the professor's post and the "Plus some interesting read to ponder on Professors view as posted below." Comment. It really does highlight how little some people know about the comapny and the deal.
Newmonts funding and earn in is at a project level. The will end up owning 80% of Anza not 80% of OMI.
My god it's getting tedious around here. I will keep buying and be back when penny drops.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Yeah, Vicjain, it really is not unreasonalble to live that this could go to an MCAP of £95m if things go according to plan.
That's over 20 times your money!
IMO, with minimal chance of dilution along the way, now is the time to be building a substantial holding.
That's what I'm doing. I've freed up some more cash and will take another 100k or so tomorrow.
As one canny investor said. Be brave when others are fearful.
No one got any idea of OMIs value on success?
Well my expectation is around £95m and given today's valuation of around £4.5m that means big fat profit for me.
Ignore that last post. It wasnt meamt for here.
You sure there was a sheet doing the rounds with befor wand after rates and I'm sure the mech foremen were on 149
I am interested to hear other people's opinion on the value of OMI if all goes according to plan.
i.e. the exploration continues to go well at Anza, Newmonts ends up producing similar amounts to those expected at Buritica and OMI still own 20% of the project.
What would you expect OMI's value to be?
Hope I don't live to regret this but the SP seems very stable around 3p.
Reckon I might take some more ahead of the next rise.
Glad your still holding Webbs, I honestly think this will come good. There's always a risk, as with every share, but I'm convinced this is going to reach multiples of the current valuation and I'd hate for you to miss it.
Silverknight, imagine for a moment the exploration continues to go well and Anza ends up producing similar to Buritica. What would you expect OMI to be valued at if still holding 20% of the project at that time?
Have you sold out Webb's? Thought you would have waited until the next spike.
Timing is everything and I do think that your entry point is clouding your view here.
IMO, there's no way this was a better proposition in January last year than it is now. Why, reasons below.
High grade gold discovery confirmed at Apta.
Gold mineralosation has been confirmed at Charrascala.
3 further high grade targets identified.
Fully funded through to production by world's largest gold miner.
Colombian authorities at national and local level now pro mining
Uneconomical San Gregorio mine and Uraguay liabilities no longer an issue.
Infant see any issues getting your money back on this. IMO 9p will be hit a few times next year as it spikes on news. With so few shares in free float it moves fast on news.
Out of interest how long you been holding?
Silverknight, I don't think the SP will be anywhere near 50p next year. I think it will be around 8buears before we see full value here. If I was to guess SP December 2020 I would reckon around 10p.
Regarding convincing myself or others that this is a no brainer, that's not my style. I am fully researched on OMI, have commited what I am happy with and happy to hold. Also I do not try to convince others simply post my thoughts.
Regarding the closed period thing, j clearly stated that I didn't actually think that was the case, just thinking aloud. I don't know why the directors are not buying shares, just trying to say there could be good reasons as well as bad.
Anyway, I have been very open with my positives in OMI and have been able to back up / explain my reasons why. You don't seem so positive so can you provide some sound, accurate negatives on OMI
Otherwise you will just sound like someone who is convinced they can buy some more shares lower and are trying to convince others of the same to make your dream a reality.
Thanks Bhargav, if he wants back in he better get a move on. I reckon this is in for a big year next year.
Regarding the directors guying, ever thought that maybe they are in a closed period? You Never know what's going on.
I personally don't see a Newmont takeover. IMO, with them already having a deal to acquire 80% of Anzá, there's no point.
But maybe, if they like what they've so far and with them footing the bill for all exploration and construction costs, they might think it a good idea to buy out OMI early and relatively cheaply.
You just never know what's going on.
Personally I want to own 20% of a producing Newmont Goldcorp mine. If that comes off this is gauranteed to be valued £95m+.
This really is a millionaire maker if people are patient and start believing.
Silverlight, I had limited myself to 500k shares as there were still some unknowns.
To me these were, would Newmont walk away? Would the Uraguay deal be satisfied? When would the outstanding mining concessions be signed.
Over the last month 2 of 3 have been answered and the 3rd is all but there. Details below.
Potential for Newmont walking? IMO this has been answered with Newmonts payment of $690k last week to maintain their earn in. They obviously did their due dilligence before signing the deal and have now had a team in Columbia looking over the data for over a year. The fact they could have walked away but didn't and paid the money tells me all I need to know about their commitment to the exploration phase and the potential they see. They are going nowhere until Anzá has been properly apraised.
Regarding the mining concessions? The current Governor of Antioquia Luis Pérez has been with withholding signatures on mining concessions for the past 2 years, playing to populist anti mining sentiment in Columbia. However this backfired and on the 27th October he was beaten in the governor's election by the pro mining candidate Aníbal Gaviria. With Gaviria in office and supported by the pro mining national government, Mining and Energy Ministry and the National Mining Agency mining in Antioquia will be full steam ahead next year and IMO the concessions are now a forgone conclusion.
My last doubt is will the Uraguay deal be satisfied? I always knew the plant and equipment would be sold and the 10m shares would be issued, that was a no brainer. My concern was could we get a buyer for the licences. After all who would want them if they were uneconomical. However the RNS this week has shown there is interest and hopefully the sale will be confirmed withing the next 45 days.
All in all there has been lots on major news for OMI over the last 4 weeks. Its just that no one is paying attention. I'm ok with that because I'm paying attention and for now will be looking to build a 1m shareholding under 3.5p. If the Uraguay licences are sold I will consider going up to 1.5m. Considering my target MCAP here is £95m equivalent to 63p per share I will be a very happy boy if I'm correct.
DYOR but I'm very happy with my investment here.
Silverknight, there's no chance of Newmont walking away from this. They had the chance to walk away last week and decides to pay up to maintain their earn in.
Although 690k may be small fry to Newmont they do not pay sums like that at the drop of a hat. There wont be many in the organisation authorised to write cheques for that sort of money. I would not be surprised if it needed corporate sign off back home. Newmont are here for phase 1 at least.
IMO This will move and when it does it will be big. The current MCAP is ludicrous and IMK people will look back in 2 years time and think how did I miss that. It was obviously a bargain.
Yes Bhagrov and we know for a fact there is gold under the ground under Anzá.
Usually in these situations the question is, is there enough Gold to get a major interested?
In this case however we already know the answer.
YES
because the largest gold miner in the world is not only interested but has taken 19.99% of the company and are fully commited through to production at Anzá
IMO, Medium to long term this is a gaurateed 10 bagger. Short term there will be plenty news flow to push this higher.
I just do think it's on many people radar at the moment. It will be soon though!
4.8p is still a very good price. Only need a MCAP around £8m to break even and IMO that's gaurnateed. In fact my target valuation here is almost 10 times that at £75m. Lol
I am hoping to build a 1,000,000 share holding averaging under 3.5p.
Absolutely agree, it is time to buy not sell.
I am buying anything I can under 3p. Just managed to pick up some more at 2.974p taking average to 3.17p.
Well pleased with that. This is going places and potential news could drop on a few fronts anytime. IMO best to get them cheap whilst you still can.
