While I think comparisons with NCYT are useful, I don’t think you can use the timeline of events of a single company to determine success or failure of another.

Objectively, the GDR product is superior but that doesn’t mean it will sell more. At the time that NCYT came to market, I think there was a lot of panic and governments wanted needed to get tests in which I think contributed a lot to NCYT’s early success. I think much more consideration is being taken now with more on the market, so I would expect sales to take a little longer.

The GDR test targets 2 genes not 1.

So Heathrow in 2018 had an average of 220k passengers per day. If they all had to be tested, assuming that 96 tests were always analysed at the same time and it took 100 minutes to analyse each batch, you would need to spend 3800 hours analysing the samples in total. If this time was spread evenly throughout the day then you would need 160 sets of 96 to be constantly processed in parallel. This doesn’t take into account that there would be spikes in activity during the day.

Sounds like it would be a logistical, expensive nightmare.

Also as a passenger why would you risk flying if without knowing, you could just be stopped from flying hours before your flight?

I think he was clear in that they don’t have orders yet as it’s still only 2 weeks since they sent out the kits.

It was ambiguous I guess. I took it as 10k per hour being the maximum the machinery could manufacture at and that 8 hour shifts was the standard. When he referred to scalability I assumed he just meant more shifts.

I thought the presentation was strong. Right amount of detail and cleared up some things which were slightly ambiguous.

The detail around non-covid products was good and shows that even if covid sales don’t come, there is more than enough there to justify at least the current market cap. That said, I think the share price will almost solely be driven by covid for the near future so at worst, if no sales come, it would just tie up capital for a while but any investment would be quite safe in the medium to long term.

He is very confident about the covid product and the feedback is that the simplicity is ‘too good to be true’. Manufacturing standard would seem to be 80k per day but could be increased. This capacity obviously isn’t being used yet. There is no intention to go through approvals in South America as no distribution there but approvals for WHO/USA/India in progress. WHO approval would seem to be a kind of prerequisite for Africa sales although he did say there was precedent for African countries ordering non-WHO approved products. Any sales or agreements with well established distributors would result in an RNS. Presumably that means we will only hear about DIVOC if it generates orders.

He expects to update us in ‘the very near future’. Not too bothered about current share price. Am confident in my investment.

So far a brand new company has shown interest in the GDR product, nothing more.

So let’s be realistic, this won’t be finishing anywhere near 200p unless there is sales news.

This scenario where the final trade causes the share price to jump up happened a few days ago and the following morning the share price opened massively down. I am hoping that doesn’t happen again and that we just get a steady rise leading up to sales news.

I think at this point, they need to make sure the first sales RNS reports a fairly significant order value as you said. Given what happened to ODX with their £100k order, just don’t want to give the market any excuses to spin any sales RNS as negative.

Just hope that punit doesn’t eat his weetabix. Encouraging his bowel movements wouldn’t be good for the sp.
