Was just making it clear that as it stands there is no guarantee that sales of that value will come. You also said that the presentation stated that the global market was much higher than £40m which isn't really the case, £40m was within the range stated within the presentation.

We have no confirmed sales income from the hearing test yet and the global market was stated in the presentation as £40-65m. I think scart said that genedrive were estimating revenue of £38.5m.

Another update to the ICMR validated list today with several more tests added. Ours still missing. I would have expected ours to be validated this week. Early next week then!

Ah ok scart, thanks for clarification. I thought those features came 'for free' as part of premixing tests.

It's probably worth pointing out that earlier in the week NCYT launched a new variation of their test. It looks like it is pretty much like for like with ours now, although there wasn't anything that suggests it now has multiple gene targets like ours.

It's a good thing. It's easy to quantify the suffering caused by the virus because you get it detailed in a few nice statistics. It's far harder to quantify the impact of remaining in some kind of lock down for the millions of people for years to come. There has to be balance.

Should millions people suffer for years (potentially resulting in deaths indirectly) to save a handful of deaths that could be attributed directly to the virus?

It's a lose-lose for this or any government. The opposition would criticise no matter what they do. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I am sure there are 'clued up' investors in all the COVID shares. GDR hasn't been a particularly good investment for anyone 'who had the sense' of investing here at any point in the last 6-7 weeks.

The best thing about that placing is that Punit is also invested there. Hopefully that will keep him distracted for a day or two!

You can't rule out another placing happening here at some point. Look what happened with AVCT, the board communicated that they were 'fully funded' and their discussion board was full of people saying that there is no way another placing will happen and anyone daring to suggest it could happen getting shouted down.

I don't think it will happen here but it's something I have noted as a risk.

These companies are seeing high share prices but they also know that medium/long term revenue from COVID is by no means guaranteed. They are taking the opportunity to raise funds to speed up the development of non-COVID activities which is the smart thing to do. We know this from the recent AVCT placing.

Yeah, the price being walked down was nothing to do with GHIF or their boots.

It does mean that GHIF will no longer be gaining the interest on the loan and so it does show confidence that they think that they will gain more profit from the share price rising.

You are correct Dadsbatty, the potential market is £40-£65m and just because you have the only product for that market does not mean that you capture that entire market.

The 'you have only lost, if you sell' is obviously complete tosh and is only used by people to make themselves feel better about their current losses.

Firstly, it assumes that the share price at least reaches your break even point again. Plenty of AIM stories where people will never ever be in profit again. Secondly, you lose flexibility in that some of your capital is tied up in a company for an extended period of time.

If your investment is down then your net worth is also less. Simple as that.

It’s great news that we have direct competition to our USP now because we forced them to develop their product faster.
It’s great news if the other covid shares rise but we don’t as it shows how undervalued we are.
It’s great news that other covid shares provide a more steady flow of updates as it shows that DB is confident about our product and doesn’t have to do this.

Their list of validated tests was updated yesterday and we still aren’t on it. The guidance states that it should take 15 days for the validation report to sent back to supplier once they receive the tests.

Why are you stating that the expected income of the hearing test is 75m. DB clearly said that the size of the global market was £40m-£65m.

Please don’t wilfully mislead people. Stick to the facts.
