There are a few of us having a reasonable conversation about some of the potential shortcomings of GDR's current position and rather than add to the discussion, the only thing you can do is question whether people are still invested.

Honestly, grow a back bone. Have the courage to read comments from both side of the fence and resist the urge to resolve any cognitive dissonance that you may be experiencing.

Because I believe I will make profit from remaining invested.

I think people generally agree that displacing existing products is generally a challenge. I think the hope has been that the existing products out there wouldn't be able to meet the demand required and as such new products would be able to get their foot in the door in order to meet that demand. I guess another thing with time passing is that all the existing products have more time to scale up production which might limit our chances even more.

I have no doubt that we have one oft the best products out there, I just don't know how much it really seems to be mattering in practice. Look at the ICMR, they have validated nearly 60 PCR tests, which is a lot to choose from. Maybe India have already backed their horses and have the processes in place to deal with the shortcomings of products compared to ours. If they have something which they perceive to be working, maybe there isn't sufficient motivation to change things.

Not sure but I guess with the quality of the product I was hoping that it would exceed expectations in terms of sales and interest and that clearly hasn't been the case else we would have had some news before now.

Yep I think if there are no meaningful updates this week then we might be in a bit of trouble.

At the beginning of June, I remember daring to use NCYTs timeline to suggest FDA approval would come at the end of June and being denounced as negative because of it.

At the same time, I remember showing scepticism in Divoc while certain people were wetting themselves with excitement and was denounced again of course. Since then Divoc has done nothing, website hasn’t even changed.

Cautiousness wins again.

I would concentrate on ODX. Big news there this morning, rampers getting mauled again.

Thought they had been doing that for weeks. What is it about this morning that makes you think people are ‘starting to take advantage’?

Validation in India should have been completed by now. 15 days they it takes to get back with result and we sent out kits the week following CE Marking.

Mavern, that statement alone shows that your approach to reaching conclusions is severely flawed. Taking some moments to check out my post history would save you from making the same mistake in future.

If you are so weak minded and insecure in your investment, that posts that explore all possibilities cause you to react like this then I suggest you don't use discussion forums. Leave it to the adults.

I am actually edging towards it being a positive thing to be honest.

If there isn't an update on approvals within the next week or so I would start to get a little concerned but the fact that DB isn't as 'chatty' as the AVCT CEO for example doesn't really concern me. Shareholders care more about a steady flow of news than CEO's, as they usually have a much longer term view in terms of the share price.

Support is a pretty broad term when it comes to role descriptions. Take the following scenario.

They have failed to get any interest in the product in their target markets, so they decide that they need to seek other opportunities as quickly as possible. They take on an extra person so they now have additional resource dealing with approvals, resulting in them being done twice as fast, hopefully increasing the chance of getting sales.

Tell me how you can completely rule out the above scenario?

Spoiler alert: You can't rule it out.

I am not saying that I think they are doing this for negative reasons, I am saying that I am open minded enough to know that this is not a slam dunk positive.

This is of course assuming there are sales - I can't see him reporting no sales.

Companies don't just take on new people for the sole reason of 'we have more work than we can handle'.

It's difficult to judge either way really.

It could be positive in that due to the fact that they are getting plenty of potential orders that they need somebody to keep approvals moving while others are dealing with orders.
It could be negative in that due to the fact that the target markets are not going as planned, they need to speed up approvals elsewhere to try and get more orders in.

I don't really see how the temporary nature of the role is seen as a negative. Regardless of the reasons for the role, it makes sense to me that it would be temporary.

David said himself in the vox presentation that as they don't have distribution channels set up for South America, that they are not actively pursuing approvals there.
