RE: LFT Market Forecast6 Feb 2021 12:35
In terms of the ABC test, For me the key point is this.
PHE have written a report back In Nov quoting that it’s only 85% effective due to original the trial done by Ulster removed asymptomatic cases and therefore biased the results. This is probably why Ulster stateed in its report it was a ‘Pseudo ‘ gold standard’ test result. The MHRA have reviews this Ankura report PHE produced and based on its contents have decided not to endorse it as it didnT meet these required standarrd.
Even if Abingdon contests this, the fact remains that UK health regulator have not endorsed it based on strides from PHE , so what chance has this got with other regulators form other countries To get orders. This needed MHRA approval to maximise its credenttial, the fact original govt order was capped to £1m , and that it’s limited to professional use in surveillance studies means that it’s is extremely Limited at present unless they can improve its performance
. ODX imo, is now totally reliant on it antigen production line potential. Unless Mologic or Avacta come in soon to get the all important PHE trial passes and MHRA approval and resultant contracts , ODX is beginning to look precarious.
Also No mention of CD4 sales either, even though I it got granted WHO pre approval back in Nov and it stated China was a massive target market, is also begin got worry me as this it’s own flagship product
These are 2 way you can look at its increased PR bandwagon in last couple of weeks. It’s either showing confidence or it’s defensive. If you know deals are coming, you don’t necessarily need to make a fanfare before news comes as you know what will happen with SP. when Positive news drops But if have no news forthcoming to market and there is total uncertainty what do you do if you are CEO.
Last thing , that 5 news slot they tweeted early this which ended up to be a non event, made them look like amateurs.
