They taking away your rights to arbitration and if by any chance you you strike big and they can make some excuse up about your licenses and revocate your licenses, you will be powerless for any international assistance. With you signing away your right to international arbitration all that investment gone down the pan, thats how Indonesia works, wants you to spend big money on exploration and then take it off you..

You will have no rights whatsoever should they decide one day to give your license to an Indonesian company.. At the moment ARS are at the exploration phase, let me know when you get to the exploitation phase.

You are correct the current bod may have had successful company in past, now indonesia are making it difficult for foreign investor to invest, the COW are really unfair and totally favour the state. The way the roi govt have behaved in arbitration with chl whats to say they wont do with others? They have deliberately lied and mislead. Now the impartial arbitrations are out of the window its you against the govt. Not a even playing field. I believe past director of chl did business with indonesia. Mike Yes indeed i invested in chl, but they found massive resource . It was just a post yesterday regarding freeport that got me fuming and few posters went on defensive saying how great the company is. Just for the record, freeport has thrown billions into indonesia mkt. Indonesia forced freeport to divest 51% of share in indonesian assets and now tgey have agreed they are trying to undercut them in value. To get the contract signed freeport are threatening them with enviromental fines. Google kalimantan coal mines and you will see how many local companied have left open pits and moved on, have they bee fined? You know answer. This company bod might be great but the people they are dealing with are not genuine. Ps i dont intend to buy or short this stock, but dont pretend to lie indonesia is a great place to business. Few months ago tgey had imf brass in indonesia they need over $300bn in foreign loans or investments. No one is willing...

Toepur Sorry it isnt, he just admitted hes only interested in 3 months news flow. Risk in Indonesia is much more than in egypt or mongolia btw. Those two countries have not put clauses in contracts, i.e you have to divest 51% of company, you cant goto international arbitration should you have an issue. The international arbitration is a huge point, what if ars comes in difficulty who will address the issue? The indonesian mining agency? The courts? The supreme courts? What if i tell you all these companies are corrupt to the bone. Where will ars go? I say it again Indonesia has some excellent resources but dor foreign investors its not worth it. Rio Tinto had enough of them and many more moving funds into stable nations.

A strike in either well will be instant 5 bagger and over time could be 10, 20 fold.. Invest what you can afford.
