John Radcliffe Dr had tweeted 11 days ago that he was trying to get it up and running in Oxford so they're also in again.

Thanking all those that have already volunteered so sounds like recruitment has already been going very well. The UK arm of the trial won't take long to fill.

No investment is ever completely de-risked but this is about as good as it gets for an AIM biotech with Phase ll and lll trials ongoing. Pretty sure Messrs Holgate, Marsden and Wilkinson all know it works, they just have to go through the process of proving it to enough people.
Some great points mact4, I think the home trial is just a thing of pure genius, born out of a company created by NHS Consultants with years of front line experience. Keep people safe, protect health services, don't let infected people spread what they have but treat them with the best available. During Covid, we've heard a lot about game-changing this and game-changing that but if Synairgen gets Emergency Use Authorisation from the FDA for home use of SNG001 that will be a genuine world game-changer. It will have such a positive impact on access to treatment.
If that happens, the kick back on UK Govt will also be huge.......
This RNS potentially creates a third game changing income stream. It furthers the process of Avacta coming to market with a better alternative to PCR. This is an industry which is expected to be worth $24.5 Billion in 2021. Avacta in combination with partners can give organisations the opportunity to run testing faster, more accurately and cheaper. So many people in the forum are focused on making a quick buck asap but this is about building a company with game changing bleeding edge products in multi billion pound markets. It might not be the news we were expecting but nevertheless it's still great news and adds more value to Avacta for the future. In 5 years time what value couple today's RNS translate into? As ever this share is a Strong Buy or a Strong Hold.
I believe the Activ 2 isn't double blinded so they'll likely be having a peak at the data and any indication that it's positive during Phase ll and the FDA will be likely to strongly consider granting emergency use authorisation. Depends how quickly they can recruit for this Activ 2 home trial. The beauty is that the other trials are ongoing so they'll have a constant supply of safety data to run alongside which should give them more confidence to grant.

Putting the SP action to one side has anything material changed?
No
Thankfully, people around the world are inhaling SNG001 every day right now. The science and previous trial results tell us that SNG001 will likely save those people's lives.
Just wait or if you fancy a top up then full your boots.

Will people stop making silly conspiracy claims about my views on Synairgen. Yes, a promising phase II study. Yes, it should and as is being trialled at larger scale. Yes, data on role of IFN in COVID is fascinating and at this stage unclear.
Perhaps explains why Germany have spent so much on Therapeutics. If this is true then the UK Govt will look very silly with all their AZ Focus and flag waving
