Did those analysts, who downgraded ITV, consider households cancelling their subscriptions to Netflix, AmazonPrime and Disney? These companies are already suffering subscriber fatigue. Inflation and the increase in living costs is forcing people to evaluate what to cut. I wonder what the reaction would have been if ITV had decided not to invest? They do have to invest in new content to attract advertisers. I do find the sell off overdone and illogical. Where was the negative news? It wasn't a profit warning. I can't think of a company that issues such a positive trading update, making almost 500 million profit, that falling 25%.
