RE: Frontera Archive4 Feb 2020 05:59
I will only cut & paste the first part of the article as FRR gets a mention. The article then goes on to talk about chemical weapons (or lack thereof ) as a reason not to trust USA as well as Trump belonging to a 'sect that supports same-sex marriage' and a fake General. It will be lizard people and the illuminati next! -
"Georgia and US do not have common values"
Almost daily, letters of American congressmen and senators come in the name of Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Gakharia with harsh criticism of the Georgian authorities.
Georgia and the US do not have common values
Pete Olson and Brian Babin, Co-Chairs of the Georgia Support Group in the US Congress Adam Kinsinger and Gerald Connolly, Chairman of the House Foreign Representatives Committee Eliot Engel and member of the same Committee, Michael McCall, Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations James Risch and member the Committee, Gene Shakhin, is blamed by the government, parliament, the ruling party “Georgian Dream” and its chairman Bidzin Ivanishvili:
- in the fact that “Georgia has gone out of the way of democratic political reforms and Western integration”;
- refusal to create democratic institutions and judicial reform - to appoint 14 government-controlled judges of the Supreme Court;
- refusal from reforming the electoral system - from holding parliamentary elections in October of this year. fully proportional system;
- in the criminal prosecution of the opposition for political reasons and "the use of force to violently suppress mass demonstrations that are still peaceful" (the so-called "Night of Gavrilov");
- in creating accounts on Facebook, "spreading anti-democratic anti-Western sentiment";
- the expulsion of American investors from Georgia, on which they “exerted political pressure” (“Anaklia Development Consortium”), in “oppressing American business interests with the aim of expropriating the property of American companies” (“Frontera Resources”).
The authors of the letters doubt that “Georgia remains in solidarity with the common values ??with the United States” and state that such actions “open the door for Russian intervention in the country and the entire region”; they call the Georgian government “corrupt”, and Ivanishvili - “Putin's puppet”, pursuing Russian interests in Georgia. American lawmakers openly put forward an ultimatum - if, they say, the Georgian authorities do not cooperate with the US ambassador who has just arrived in Georgia, that is, they do not strictly comply with her instructions, Kelly Degnan, the United States "will be forced to abandon partnership with Georgia" and will take sanctions against it - “The Law on Sanctions for Fair Business Practices in Georgia” introduced to the US House of Representatives. Moreover, they threaten that “they will render a protest movement in Georgia,” that is, the united opposition Saakashvili, “the American support that it so needs.”
