Honestly its like trying to raise the dead dealing with Wolves. Wolves it is quite simple really of the 110,000 members balloted over three quarters voted for industrial action. Even if you count all of those that did not vote as against strike action it wouldn't make 25% and that is assuming that every single one of them was against IA. It is the biggest mandate for industrial action that this country has ever seen and will probably never be surpassed. Dumb it down all you want but only a fool would haggle with those results. If they went for regional pricing that would require changes to the USO and also would need to be cleared by Government. That would take years to implement. They looked at regional peicing some years back and ditched the idea as it led to higher prices

Yep you are probably correct but that aint what the regulator or Royal Mail are looking at unfortunately

Ispy the USO is up for review next year as announced by the regulator. The one thing that Royal Mail and the CWU were always joined up on was that we both opposed reducing the USO as it would clearly be an open door for the competition and would reduce profitability as customers would be lost there is absolutely no doubt about that. It is suicide to reduce the service to a 5 day delivery when the competition deliver 7 days a week

I wonder if the competition will be shaking in their boots when Royal Mail reduce the service from 6 days to 5 days. They will still be delivering 7 days a week, great idea, yeah lets reduce the service that will show them you really could not make this up. And people on here actually supporting that strategy absolutely amazing

There were sections of our union which are not allied to royal mail group i think you need to rethink your comment even if those that didnt vote voted against it is still a massive yes vote beating the current tory ballot laws by a good way

Nuri makes comments like he does and no one picks him up on it. I question something and i am aggressive you couldnt make it up. 97% is the biggest support of any industry in any election ever. You cant knock that even better than the 95% i originally posted although i do believe i did up that to 97% in a later post. Fantastic result. Now that tells you there is something drastically wrong in this industry. Royal Mail have lost the dressing room no doubt about that. And the CWU will be meeting shareholders to explain that there is a better way to improve this industry
