It is a wrong assumption.
We know current Mcap is Ā£3.3m, 36.4m shares x 9p. New shares have been valued by the company @ 1.7p, so increase in Mcap is 147m shares x 1.7p = Ā£2.5m.
Best estimate we can get is doing a TERP calculation same as for a Rights Issue and that comes out at 3p per share. Between current price and subscription price.
SmartPunter
Gora29 is correct. You are correct in that all shares will be the same price but that won't be current price of Ā£0.09. The subscription will devalue the current shares.
Transpose your formula to SP = Mcap/shares issued.
So new Mcap will be Ā£5.774m, new shares in issue will be 183.4m so new SP will be Ā£0.03.
Can't find a date on it which is a bit odd!
Only saw it last night so can't have been that long ago as I log in every couple of days
Picked this up today so vote means nothing

Only one idiot left on this board since Starfish left the building.
That link is basically a transcript of the Eytan podcast.
So 400 bopd x 365 = 146,000 barrels per year
146,000 x $120 = $17,520, 000
Assume a GM of 20% gives a gross profit of $2,920,000
With 1,487,924,404 shares in issue
That = $0.0019 profit per share
Great prospect
I'm 93% down and I'm out. Been in this since before the Ice Max sailed from Las Palmas. All very exciting tracing the passage of the ship.
Was alaways a risky one and I couldn't believe the **** coming out of Starfish.
Anyway enough is enough, sale order in for the morning.
willec - you post a link to a BPC/CEG press release as proof that it's "all coming together nicely".
It actually says "highly-anticipated Saffron-2 APPRAISAL well in Trinidad" in that piece. If there is oil there why is it an appraisal well?
WE? " I post researched caveated opinion most days and we will keep an eye out for any questions you may have."
Lol, just me getting confused was another share issue that I am in for
That is very true Bohemia but Primary Bid do who I paid the money to. Standard stuff from them mate
Just checked my bank and had a refund of money that I paid under the offer. Looks like the OO is a success :-)
Doing some quick adding up I've been given all under the offer rights and about 70% of the additional shares I applied for.
Looks like drilling will happen at the weekend and there will be no placing. Finf out for sure in a couple of hours.
willec - go read the RNS's that the company publish ffs
From last Wednesday 13th "The date for anticipated commencement of drilling thus continues on schedule to be on or around 23 May 2021, whilst remaining conditional on the successful completion of the current Open Offer Fundraising process (as advised on 11 May 2021)"
Bespoke - Please elaborate. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong
No willec that is not what nathondo said about the Bahamas.
Spudding of S2 is still dependant on funding from OO and Placing so may not happen this or any other weekend.
Antha - You are correct High Net Worth Individuals can be invited to take part on a placing. I think the definition of an HNWI is assets in excess of Ā£10m but stand to be corrected on that.
I think it unlikely that a person with assets in excess of Ā£10m would be farting about on a BB for a micro pence stock. If/when starchild posts up we'll find out.
Hahaha I find that surprisingly witty from you fatalcharm.
I'm sure that starchaser is not an Institutional Investor and hence will not be offered placing shares. I just hope that the offer had enough takeup for the company not to make huge discounts in the placing to shift the shares.
fatalcharm - I saw him post a load of rubbish on here, I hope you didn't buy on what he said. It was all sunshine and light from him and never a mention of any potential down side.
Finally no one will be buying into the open offer now as it closed at 11:00 this morning. It would appear that you have no clue either.
Starchild - to quote you "I plan to participate in the placing tomorrow evening". Placing will be with Institutional Investors you idiot. Only way for Retail Investors to get in on the new shares was to take up rights in the OO, that boat sailed at 11:00 this morning.
It's comments like this that blow what little credibility you had with your copy and paste philosophical ramblings
