Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
G – I’ve been doing OK for a newbie. Loads learnt from the excellent guys on this board so yes I’ve been making enough to keep me in luxuries like craft beer and hypnos speakers :-) This year I have set myself a monthly profit target to ‘bank’ 4.2% of all cash in play. Not quite done that in Jan/Feb but I’m keeping at it.
Hey G - where have you been? Glad to see you popping back - I stayed here.
Don't fret too much about your Ocadoodoo, you are in good company.
I've been watching ccl do its thing. Goes up, comes down, no where near as seismic moves as when G was last here, but still providing entertainment. Perhaps the brigade are regressing and it will be ccl, cine, ocdo and fevr exciting us in the weeks ahead instead of the fres, pfc etc.
T - woe! (Confess I had to re-read, thought your car had cost you a fortune, pictured you in driver's seat, getting ready to go somewhere, using laptop and cat on your shoulder, thought what's the cat doing in the car? I'm clearly fatigued)
Morning all
After a fairly sleepless night - woken early by un-rehomed pea**** shouting. I'm knackered. He is lovely though.
S - I feel your pain on all counts. I think the midl of lidl is what you need. Re the porch - keep your eye out for a skip on the way, you never know....
T - thanks for your commentary - useful as ever. It's great when the brigade flag things up. I now have a chunk of fevr which I hope to part with this afternoon. I've regularly made small inter day gains with this, works because I'm not greedy. I'm feeling greedy today, so it will likely go wrong.
Enjoy the day
Morning briggers
S - you're not the only one. Kicking myself that I didn't sell my cpi bought yesterday first thing, my reflexes are carp, dither, doh, fingers crossed it rises again.
I'm watching the travel shares.
TUi is bouncing around, and IAg.
P&O round Britain cruises will demand all passengers are vaxxed, guess, and are going to follow the weather forecast. If that's so O will get used to seeing cruise ships in the offing all summer...certainly won't be up the Mersey in C or V land much.
Enjoy your day folks
T - Bet you have a stash of tales from your bank days.
V - These weird HL figures .... I shy from selling part holdings with them just because of the potential confusion it causes me :-) No - some figures in my columns are just out of date / come from somewhere/fantasy figures that make you think 'that's not right' or on the deal pages buy/sell prices that seem out of kilter with other sites. Doesn't affect every share too - odd eh?
N - Greetings. Level 2 isn't essential in my mind - didn't even know what it was til you mentioned it. As you might have noticed, this board is a broad church.
Morning briggers
Carp weather with howling wind and lashing rain, translates to my mood. Probably best to shut up the laptop and DIY something.
S - rule 9. I don't panic, I just sigh and feel slighted. I do wish I'd been smarter on PFC, now hoping it rises like a phoenix, but I think it will probably limp its way up over the next couple of weeks, into the 110s.
T -The financial shenanigans at NW is intriguing - I want to know who the corporate customer banking loads of cash was. Will we see further moves on the bankers of any of the universities banking the foreign student fees paid in cash? Hmm.
Anyway - onwards .... have fun!
Bonjour!
Bright morning moving to cloud. Quietish (is that a word?) here, dog walk looms.
Thanks for the reminder T
S - bite the bullet! That target of yours needs work...shouldn't be the tail wagging the dog.
Re Arb - maybe weekend fears about bitcoin wrecking the environment ?....darn that new fangled currency, gold never did that.
I sold my IAG around 216 and hope it will return to 213 later then bounce again - no science there, just hopeful speculation : -)
Have a super day briggers
O - podcast sounds v interesting, would you tell me where can I find it?
Lovely looking day here but a blasting, gusty, multi direction wind - lots of branches down, went out in a beanie rather than brimmed hat, maybe should have chosen a hard hat. Have to say I value the weekends.
V - my game taste is more space invaders and froggo - but I am regularly amazed at the quality of the graphics. Someone told me Ubisoft's plans for Notre Dame were more accurate than the ones the authorities had, and they are contributing to the restoration fund. It's one of the shares I stalk, it can be quite bouncy.
& yes plus is sneaking up - huzzah!
T – I echo what S says about IG. Their customer service is patchy, but they sort things out in the end. and HL has been dreadful recently ( I sold a only tiny proportion of a holding, either site malfunction or my fat fingers, so resold the remainder, and they cancelled the sale. Rang, they don’t answer, wrote, they don’t reply, still not sorted 3 weeks later.) I guess I’m saying - they are all rubbish in their own way. Perhaps you will keep an HL account open to do the things IG won’t let you?
S – I always have late breakfasts, much more enjoyable, tempting to call it brunch, but that would be poncy.
So what are the briggers planning for their Friday tipple?
T - I've joined you with a bit of mcro (perhaps bought too soon?)
O - That was a bit of a rant - bravo! But my watch would be telling ME to breathe, let alone the wine! Mr Smokes must be a softpot - naughty collie loves a bit of extreme weather, gets all excited and frisky but then loves to be rubbed down with a fluffy towel on return.
Great breakfast of everything, including some Spanish black pudding brought back in autumn. I guess we might have to smuggle it in with the new customs regime - or maybe it's only strict when we want to take English soil to NI :-)
Things are very slow and tame. I'm bracing myself for something cataclysmic this afternoon.
Morning briggers
Wet wet wet here - on with dog walking coat and out, thinking it's big breakfast weather
Not done anything remarkable this morning, in and out for pennies on IAG - markets seem quiet.
T - thanks for the info on clocks and US markets opening.
Have a good day all
