RE: Chart29 Sep 2018 20:33
Share price movements are driven largely by sentiment but the computer algorithms that calm those movements operate within parameters that can be identified on a chart. Barring exceptional news, the dominant descending channel will likely determine the extent of upside and downside in the short to medium term. Should this channel be broken on the upside it is effectively taking the lid off and opens considerable upside potential as can be seen on a weekly time interval chart. However the share price is currently hovering above key support (a well tested lower trend) that if broken will likely result in a sustained downwards movement to the bottom of the channel determined by the blue diagonal trend on the chart.
In short technical analysis identifies a fairly critical stage with a significant move in either direction depending whether the descending pink channel is broken or the green key support.
Hope that helps Timster!
