I am hearing that BA have served S 188 notices on the Pilots. Apparently 1080 pilot jobs are now under threat.
Additionally, apparently BA has now included the 'fire and re-hire' clause. If agreement is not reached between BALPA and BA, then the employment contracts of all pilots will be terminated and new contracts with new terms and conditions will be offered.
You have to wonder what BA are thinking .
Unless of course, they want to close down BA and start again.

Portland......you really need to read the details of what BA is proposing to do to the existing staff.
The new employment conditions are even worse than the existing MF contracts !
To say you doubt the existing crew will be worse off financially is a ridiculous statement.
How would you feel about a 50% - 70% pay cut and a complete tearing up of your employment contracts and agreements .
BA still hasn't submitted it's annual accounts, which it normally has done by now.
I suspect that this is because Walsh doesn't want to show the actual figures for BA, which will be unhelpful in his argument about redundancies.

I do note that they are proposing the allocation of all the profit for fiscal year 2019 (except the amount already paid as interim dividend) to the voluntary reserve.
This may indicate they will look at another tax free special payment at some time in the future
This bank should be run for the benefit of shareholders. It is currently being operated on behalf of UK GOV.
The BoD are now not operating in the best interests of shareholders and should be sacked.
This is a commercial business not a subsidiary of the BoE.
Bring in Bramson and break it up.
it's talk like this that creates the panic we are now seeing......."The government wont let BA go under as its the nations flag carrier airline"
Where have you seen anything about 'BA going under' ?
complete rumour and speculation based on nothing at all.
Please can we stop this kind of talk and stick to facts ....
IAG is in a very good position with plenty of funds and diversified business model.
It is a great investment and will be paying increased dividends of 17cents.
It has cancelled flights to China until March , which makes sense and flights o Milan.
Other than that it is still running it's business very well.

Too many people reading the Motley fool.
Iberia, aer lingus, vueling, level and aer europa none of which have ageing fleets.
BA have 787's, 350's on order, 380's etc
IA G hardly have ageing fleets.
Grossly undervalued and would hope for an increase once Chump gets back in his box.
