The macro picture remains poor, the national debt pile and public spending costs are frankly awful, thanks to the useless Hunts in Parliament.

Or set small buy orders in the 101p-102p range, and make the most of the opportunity - if you think this is a good price. Which naturally a few of us do at the time of print :)

Very tempted to do a few more, but see what the economic data shows tomorrow.

Looking at that chart, and the recent volume, I am not slicing any myself right now, but to each their own. GLA.

Telious perhaps the big seller still? It does feel like the hand-break is going to come off here at some point, although perhaps wishful thinking on my behalf :) GLA.

I use the 61.8% fib (although not as consistently as I probably should). I use a number of other indicators such as the main moving averages, as well as things like the VIX, DXY and various commodity spot prices (the latter useful for some cases).

There are so many potential indicators that I try not to 'overdo' it, so to speak. I only have a certain amount of brain power and concentration span, lol.

And I still find it difficult sometimes to ignore the market and just trade the charts. Work in progress and looking to continue to build this knowledge and understanding - which is when these chat boards can be most splendid sometimes.

As for your comparison - ultimately I agree, although you need to account for significantly fewer shares in issue in that one, versus CARD.

I had a nice little quick trade in that name earlier this year. Got a good feel for it and exited close to the high, which was a pleasant change for me :)

I actually quite like them in principle, and the update today was pretty good, but IMO it just 'feels' like it wants to still go lower.

It looks like a triple top on the long term chart as well, to my eye, which essentially led to my decision to sell up at the time.

Fundamentals versus technicals. Still loosely on my watch list though, but not a priority focus.

And IMO, this one ticks a lot more of the boxes too, even though it probably should not - although naturally, time will tell.

Many of us enjoy and appreciate hearing TA, especially those of us who are trying to improve our skills and understanding of this particular niche area, to try and get better at this stuff.

In my simplistic TA view, this is a confirmed break below the 200 now.

I am going to get interested if we see circa 450p (because round numbers like this seem to have an impact on buyers/sellers, so not a trend line number).

Of course, if for example the SP closes above that circa 483p level today and holds above it for at least a couple of trading days, then that might signal that the bottom is in. And I will miss the boat on a potential trade.

Feel free to shoot me down in flames...and obviously just an opinion...if I knew for certain, I would be typing this comment on a private island :) GLA.

He has lost the trust of most investors and potential investors, I would imagine. Cannot blame them really, all obvious things considered.

Hard to see a credible alternative viewpoint IMO, not least based on how he went about things, which led the SP to where it is now.

Yeah, before I started using buy and sell orders (a few years ago now), I used to get stung regularly.

That was when I was doing a buy and hold only strategy, so was less concerned about it.

After a while I twigged that even with such a strategy, the cumulative costs for such a lack of at least applying some degree of precision to buys and sells, added up quickly!

I still slip up from time to time, mainly from impatience. Most recent example is REC. After setting a number of buy orders in that one that simply were not getting filled, I just started buying the quoted price.

At the time of print, my purchases are not looking quite as stupid as they were in early April, but my lack of patience in that example will cost me bigger profits one day - assuming (fingers crossed!) my target price hits there at some point, and I get to exit at the planned area.

FWIW, I still like that one too, all in all, but my above point still stands :)

Strange price action first thing. Had a partial fill on an order late yesterday at 102p. Was not planning on adding in this range, but fancied a few more. Will serve me right if we do drop below 100p in the run up to ex div, where I could have bought those extra ones more cheaply and in line with the original plan!

Yeah, it's nothing. Have a look at the historical chart. Like many current holders, I remain hopeful of a repeat of history and a proper run.

It can go like an AIM tiddler in the right conditions...but that is in both directions, and no guarantees of course, so do not let FOMO take over your thinking, anymore than you ever should in any stock.

One of the benefits of a small state (the complete opposite of what we have right now) is that it would be much harder to essentially embezzle public funds.

Not making any statements of facts myself in relation to that particular council (or any others) naturally, but there was plenty of information in a range of newspapers at that time about that council (and plenty of others over recent years) that certainly suggests that...best value was not regularly achieved, shall we say.

But I guess the voters of Brum and elsewhere think otherwise, lol.

Alternative solutions do exist, but good luck finding (an electable) political party that will make the necessary changes. Until the whole thing goes pop and then the choice will largely be removed anyway.

Judging by recent local elections, the lack of spoilt ballot papers (or even lack of seriously low turnouts), shows that the masses are not learning yet. Hey ho.

Why would they not stump up the (according to Evgen BOD now overdue) cash payment, with all the potential risks that such a move might entail, if they were satisfied with our product? If it is that good, they run the risk of someone else snapping it up and leaving them with a lost opportunity?

The level of trust most people have in the BOD here now is commensurate with their history, IMO.

Anyway, 8 days for some greater clarity. It would of course be good to hear from the BOD where things stand on Stal before then, but I am not holding my breath. GLA.

If GS are calling that, it actually makes me bearish, lol. Those so and so's are probably getting ready to monkey hammer it. In all seriousness though, if/when we start to see some proper II attention in this space, then that IMO is the real moment of potential explosive movement in this space.
