RE: Not looking promising11 May 2024 11:47
Google is your friend for a starter's guide to technical analysis, gap fills and the like, Bhaveen.
As for the concept of iceberg sellers...IMO of no importance for someone who has LTH/investor plans for a stock, versus a trader (where it can be extremely useful). Can be good for those looking to build a position of course.
No harm in taking some profit off the table. Only you know if your position size feels right to you.
I hope you will not take my comments the wrong way, as they are intended in a positive fashion, but your recent posts come across like you are starting to worry about the prospect of reduced paper profits, versus your stated intention to hold every single share for said 2025 results.
Anyway, remember that black swan events means an 'all bets are off' scenario - technicals, fundamentals, II plans etc. Basically nothing is certain in life apart from the old maxim of death and taxes, which is one of the compelling arguments for sensible position sizes in a portfolio - and equally vital IMO - keeping enough dry powder for future unknown opportunities - essentially never be all in.
Advice I myself only started following properly after not having as much dry powder as I would have liked, during the early part of 2020 :)
Anyway, glorious weather, so I am heading back out to work on getting sun burn :) Good weekend all.
