Marooned around 2.60 ?? Actually been in the doldrums 2.10 to 2.40 range, rising and falling. I hold these and with an 8 - 9% present yield projection and that could be a bargain ......... BUT alot depends on the Scottish referendum result. Independance will mean big decisions to be made on subsidies etc. As I say I hold these shares BUT would not be a buyer even at these levels until the uncertainties clear after the in / out scottish result . lummox
People can still get in for the dividend and likelyhood of a ' special ' as well so may be room for a move up to £2.65 - £2.70 if the market stays stable for the next few weeks. On a 2 to 3 year view this looks a good buy and hold prospect. If you are an 'in and out ' trader obviously it is a different proposition altogether
Have to admit I've never looked at TULLETT although it looks an interesting share, My weighting in financials and insurance is about 15% at present so thats enough for me. Highland gold looks an interesting proposition. Personally I think gold has hit a floor at $1260 - $1300 so from a cost production point of view a gold miner with a fairly steady cost price and a yield of what 6 - 7% looks a fairly decent bet. I see the shares have ticked up nicely in the last few months so good luck with them. Too be honest though perhaps a bit to BORING for me !
Hiya ' puss ' I took a punt on BNC two and a half years ago for long term recovery and the hope they would hold the divi. Lucky or not sitting on a 60% overall profit and the div has been retained. Even better as my brokers automatically re invests as SCRIP. Luck and Patience I reckon. Buy good shares, with good profits with reasonable yields and then be patient. Anyway I'm Bored taking to you so I'm going to watch some paint dry !! LOL
Well as shown by certain posters this share gets even MORE BORING !! The market has dropped a solid 3 % in a few days yet this share stays Boringly strong. It has also boringly ticked on ever steady and upwards over the last few weeks. I'm so bored with it, and I'm about to collect the second half of a boring 7.6 % yield which as I got lucky with a top up is paying me a boringly sprightly 9.82% !!. How I hate these boring , boring shares ! I'm so bored I can't be bothered to sell them ! how boring is that.
" This share is a complete borefest " sorry but thats not a comment about a moment in time ! It just echo's your thoughts on this share in many posts. Post what you like but don't get all upset and defensive when you get caught with your pants down
Factually a stupid comment !! Fine this may not be your type of share ! but how can a share that has shown a price range of 22% in a little over 3 months be described as boring. It can't can it ? Personally I admit I'm with this share...............with my top up almost at its bottom I'm yielding a tasty 9.4 % straight into my ISA. Sorry but on any financial level boring its NOT !
Wish all my holdings would SLIDE like this !! FAGS continues to do what it does best. Churn out copper year after year come rain or shine, in times of high, medium and low metal prices. Reasonable cost base, with little interference from Governments etc with low regulation. Special divs have now been ditched for higher regular dividends. Once these have been established the yield will be more quantifiable and these shares will become apparent as a bedrock for a good income portfolio
England going out the world cup initially will appear to be a good result for Ladbrokes. But this early exit will cut interest from punters as the tournament progresses. Another bit of ' luck ' Ladbrokes share holders did'nt need
