Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It has been four days since we started drilling, I imagine we must have hit some mineralisation otherwise we would have stopped, or am I overestimating how far this drill is going per day?
With regards to news flow, as a relatively new investor to this company, is the Brian's style to release data in tranches after a couple of holes, or per hole?
Wasn't that long ago that he dropped an important RNS after hours to the benefit of the LTSH's and detriment of the day traders. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again.
why the price would move* too much one way or the other on this basis. ***
I may be being daft here, but the SP price is going to be affected by a steady flow of RNS's regarding the drilling operation, mineralisation depths and what not as well as results as oppose to only receiving news that we are now officially drilling? We've all been well aware that it was going drill as its a favourable jurisdiction and its fully funded. I don't see why the price would too much one way or the other on this basis :S.
My thought processes is based on comparison with other miners at similar stages. But I don't see why if we have 3mt of Copper at an average of 0.45, we can't get to say a share price of 10p when companies operating with less tonnage and lower grades, and also 3x less shares in circulation, can reach an estimate of 40p. We also have gold and silver plays to add fuel to the fire. Happy to be corrected on this as i'd rather learn where i'm potentially going wrong to refine my own understanding of how explorers are valued. But in early stages, i figured the easiest way was comparison still.
Then again we have gold and silver, as well as spoil heaps. Compared to the Aussie company which is for the most part a copper play. I won't bother with maths today, didn't get enough sleep. I'm pretty sure we are inferring long term double digits over 2 years though.
Given the tonnage and current copper price, do we need a grade of 0.45? Some of the Australian companies i'm watching have an economical viability cut off at 0.33 with around 2mt tonnage. Food for thought. Projected share price of said company is around 40p with 742,679,400 share in issue. Given our grade is estimated to be higher and our tonnage twice as much. We should probably look towards a double digit share price also, but not as high as 40p given the shares we have an issue.
Wouldn't the share price have already moved with something like this being announced? I suspect, there will be no significant change.. hopefully the share price will keep going up on speculation of M4.
The moment 2mt is proved up and confirmed from an official source, this should fly. The grades are already proving to be there. We must be sitting right on the cusp of that update by now.
I think at this point, there isn't really much leeway for the share price to go anywhere but up. Speculation in this industry does wonderous things to share prices alone, and the tailings from spoil heaps will be providing money for the company to hopefully go towards drilling operations without further need for dilution.
I don't suppose you got a response yet Aprogerson? I thought it was a very sensible approach to take, but then again I had the bar set as low as being happy with just commercial viability. The drill turning is good to know! I'm thinking we should start to see a steady rise soon, but little areas of possibly ambiguity do need to be explored.
It does feel manipulated, again ten to fifteen minutes before the end of the trading day and somehow its been marched down again despite good news.
Agreed, i'm holding out for that 40p mark, not daring to sell my position here until a bigger sum is reached! I'm a bit torn between this and GWMO though, so not really sure where to put anymore yet as GWMO drills are about to start turning with very good historic grades and evidence of mineralisation in previously untapped veins.
Honestly, as many have already suggested, this company is just waiting for the pivotal piece of news to launch it. I got spiked at 7.5p, but I'll live and press on for the story. Not as knowledgeable as some, but as it has been stated many times, we have the grades, just need to prove we 2mt, which shouldn't really be a problem.
I'm surprised we even need a RNS at this point given the bar for economic viability is so low atm.
Well in that case Dibs... where else after XTR? I'll happily ride the Copper Bull Train as long as it lasts if we have 20 years of copper exploration to do.
To my mind, anything above economic/cut off grade is a win.
That tickled me Dibs61! Very much what has been happening so far!
I could be being stupid here, but as we are trawling through spoil heaps to get gold and silver for dor bars, wouldn't the results of part of the spoil heap not reflect the true nature of the contents of the overall tonnage, we would have to wait until we have gone through enough spoil to get an average?
This would also be a nice situation, it would become a mandatory takeover and we would receive a cash amount per share which should be well over 50p if you include all the of XTRs sites.
