We are due at least an RNS for the Saudi news. They could have done a short one like last week first thing, the fact they havent may mean there is more news in it.... I am expecting something today, and what a base to receive news on
Agree, the last RNS signposted the Middle East as its biggest growing market so the Saudi news is big. That will be announced as VanV says as a minimun, potentially also further details and sales of the 2 partnerships it referred to.
The question is whether they give all the news (updates sales, US sales etc) all in one RNS....
Imo the company wouldnt have halted their promising COPD trial to start this one unless there was some level of confidence that it would be successful. And that level of confidence I am sure isnt unfounded..
Results cant come soon enough for all those suffering...
The RNS of 30th March confirmed capacity was 4 million a month, plus they mentioned agreement with Yourgene to increase capacity further.
Now with GSK and AZN on board this opens up capacity considerably, so imo I dont think this is now such a concern
Absolutely. But there should be a balance. The doctor's mantra is to 'do no harm'. Once it is established the drug doesnt have any nasty side effects the benefit outweighs the risk and hopefully given the current situation they will open it up.
And of course its not just the UK, a small whiff of success and every country is going to want access.......
In the US they have right to try laws and the Pharmas usually have compassionate use/extended use policies where they allow access to drugs that are still in trials where there is no other treatment options left for the patient.
Interesting how this works here as I dont believe there is a UK equivalent.
In my opinion it would be highly unethical if it shows efficacy in this trial to wait for the trial to end whilst there are thousands dying!
