My embarrassment comes from been invested in a company which has been alleged to evade taxes, in a country that as you say is poor. I didn't judged who is right and who is wrong and if I did that was not my intention.

But yes these are allegations which apparently have not been supported, but if they have, it seems there is not a third party there, that can make a decisions on who's right and who's wrong. Hence, worst case Thor will have to pay the full original amount of $1.9 millions. In particular going forward, I hope that clear responsibilities will be assigned on the various entities involved in this dispute. For example third parties contractors, must be responsible for their book keeping and tax documentations surely not Thor.

About environmental claim, I would like to know what the Central Gov. is doing, to allow local Gov. to make these claims, when they granted in the first place all the necessary environment permission.

Finally things moving in the right direction.

From today RNS the company paid the latest tax request, now in negotiation to make it all go away.

In the end I would be happy if they manage to find commune ground, to settle on the original amount of $1.9millions.

IMO Nigeria with its developed oil industries from many foreign companies, has proved to be much more politically safe than some neighbors, under many aspects like taxation, safety, reliability of labor and legal matters.

I am also invested in gold miners operating in Mali for example, and if they can command a PE multiple of 5 or 6, beside asset reserve comparisons, I can see by 2025 THOR been there as well.

Is anyone able to substantiate with extract/links the alleged ridicules $2 million unpaid tax, so claimed by regional gov. officials.

Would be great for all to see that indeed if true, these unpaid taxes don't justify 13% sp drop.

TBH I was not expecting this levels so soon but, I am sure under other metrics POG is still very much undervalued. For example cryptos, just imagine all the billions invested in those virtual currencies that offers no returns, high risks and have raised exponentially compare to historical gold price.
