RE: Russians demise24 Nov 2024 21:42
Is my understanding that the majority of Ukrainian for one reason or another, would be very happy to give up Russian current occupied territories.
I do believe it would be the best solution for all parties and probably, if there was a referendum, before Russian invasion, these territories would have chose to be with Russia.
Europe and US leaders were taken by surprise when Russia invaded, and for not having to deal with their hypocrisies and double face selfish interest, they had to play along Zelensky games, war games. Zelensky doesn't give a f@ck about Ukrainians hi, like most politicians are playing the game for themselves. (Trump)?
So the salient question is why after Trump becomes president there was no peace negotiation (for now)..
IMO is because Biden (the bitter looser) wanted to leave for Trump administration a very difficult task to deal with.
No tactical game, no high moral values or principle, simply, pure cynic and evil from the geriatric old zombie. Think about it, the guy is almost dead, what has he got to lose, last chance to enter in the history book of USA for the president with the iron fist. Trump had to play ball but you can read it for a mile that he want peace, and hopefully Putin is well aware of this dynamic. Time will tell, but as long as there are no more meaningfully escalations, hopefully they will come to realize that is not with war that is possible to find solutions. I am just wondering how much Putin now would be happy, by taking back those territories? I mean is not that Russia is a small country that needs land, for a growing population. But politically and maybe strategically it will be a victory.
