I say we do not have the full picture, we could all sit here debating on the direction of travel for days on end and still not come up with the right answers.

All i know is something has to give and there has to be more clarity before raising ANY equity from a RI is possible. I think once Amigo have been given the opportunity to survive and the proposal for the new future digital lending structure has surfaced then we will get a clearer picture of direction of travel.

Right now it looks bleak, i must admit. But Gary is a genuine guy, I believe he has good intentions and is putting everything he possibly can into making sure the genuine claimants get the redress they deserve.

In Gary we trust, so on and so forth.

Luckily there are other ways to raise equity, and it doesnt say they will have to raise £70m explicitly from a RI. Also it says it is "hoped"to raise £70m in new equity. Not a necessity.

No one said the world would fall apart from but financial inclusion is a major issue no matter how much you hate amigo they are looking to do right by the people who need loans, which are many. I suppose you prefer higher APR options seeing as you push them on your website as another option and almost 100%APR.. lovely.

Can raising to start from scratch really be seen as phoenix? Anyway the FCA wouldnt be a problem if we left the UK lending space, then FCA would have some explaining to do to and people who are looking for financial inclusion have their best option in the form of providents new subsidiary of some stupid high APR.. sure that would go down lovely

the PLC can raise money to buy another FCA registered lender, or get out of the UK lending space altogether and focus on Europe/America.. just one of the multiple options available.

Maybe that could be taken the wrong way, the claimants should be paid from company money as it wasn't shareholders who mis sold loans to these people. Also at the time they took the loans they weren't actually mis sold so I cant justify paying towards their claims when I am already 80% down. Makes little sense unless we can just have a fresh start in my eyes.

Shareholders are the very people who will choose what level of dilution takes place. Shareholders are being told there is nothing left in the coffers, so what reason would there be to pay £15m to claimants to save the subsidiary? there is apparently no equity left? Start fresh is probably the best option now. Unless anyone can think of a reason why its worth paying the claimants?

unless a new subsidiary already exists but was "overlooked" on the results. That would be interesting.

amigo loans ltd will be finished for sure.. but luckily we hold shares in the plc, and if we were going to raise money to pay claimants £15m and restart lending, then maybe its better we vote against and JUST fund the PLC to start a new subsidiary with the new digital lending structure

For a start, no price has been given that they will raise at. So its all guesswork, but everyone just seems to assume it will divide the share price into a tiny fraction before the shares are even in circulation. Think everyone needs to just sit tight and let the board do their job, if the scheme doesn't get sanctioned there will be no rights issue! There will be a shareholder vote on the level of dilution, so let shareholders get on with that. If you don't hold you don't have a vote or a voice that anyone should be listening to anyway.
