OTOH, pollution in the Gulf due to the war etc, might make Water monitoring a must.

IF Mgt confirms in April that the war will have no impact whatsoever to its operations, that'd be phenomenal; I guess high oil prices increase the payback for our Fleet monitoring systems, don't they? In defense of my "optimism" though, I can direct you to my posts on other BBs (APTA, T42, KP2 etc) where I was being bullish near a "bottom" and prior to the SP breaking out; could have been luck of course, and if a breakout occurs here for NFX will it also be down to luck?

In any case, SP dropped on ODD grant because insiders were selling the unannounced Placing, whereas the SP will rise when the same insiders will get wind of the deals (plural). So all we need to watch is trading volumes.

Whatever happens next week, especially after DJT's stupid ultimatum, IMO T42's business model won't be much affected. Any SP drops will be a buying opportunity.

FFX, yes we know the negatives, we know the risks etc; I am encouraging people (existing investors) to look beyond the current upheaval; they can sell now, sit tight or buy more at any time of their choosing; it's up to each investor to decide.

NFX is "defensive" Vs an airline, a small cap drowning in debt or in need of funding etc; it's a relative concept, nothing is absolute.

And re your comment "IMHO this is nowhere near a done deal at this point, based on what have (or have not) been told by the board about how well-progressed discussions are", I can argue that Money Talks! NFX proceeded to a dilutory Placing to raise funds for the studies the potential partners have asked; why do this, in the middle of a war (WW3 as you say) unless there are outlines of agreements, that will be concluded subject to satisfactory data? Of course there will be force majeure clauses but again unless we have WW3 going on for months, any impact will be short term and temporary IMO.

FFX, seems that DJTrump will give you a chance to buy NFX lower, in 1-2 days, when his 48hrs ultimatum expires. No WW3 will happen IMO (midterms in November), just a lot more destruction over the next 2-3 weeks in the Gulf; DJT is desperate for an off-ramp and the Iranians know this; so he will lash out.

I'd agree with you if this war went on for months but it can't, for many reasons (mostly political); If eg Iran blows up Gulf desalination plants, 90mln will have no drinking water so everyone is pushing DJT to end this, one way or another.

So, if this ends in 2-3 weeks, your analysis of Big Pharma pulling out of discussions with NFX will not hold; remember, both ODD and Placing (and request for add. studies) came 1 week into this war. Big Pharma plans many years ahead, yes there are ups and downs, but business must go on. Had NFX been based in the Gulf, yes, that would be a worry; not everything is rosy of course, partners may use the war as an excuse to offer a lower Royalty fee etc. GLA, DYOR
