OK FFX, I'll leave you enjoy "touching it" when all the promises have been turned into real RNS. The rest of us will go on "ramping" the intangible.

Pessimists are still here, weighed down by "history"; why not SELL if there is no future? And why still HOLD if you expect nothing? Incapable of cutting your losses? "Counter argument" means offering some facts, numbers, rationale for saying NFX will fail/not close a deal, rather than just slugging off alternative views about the future, which are hypothetical by definition and may have or not, a small chance of success.

Anyone who has worked in business knows that NDAs prevent disclosure of discussions that may or may not lead to a deal, and also why should NFX alert its counterparties about who and how many interested - potential - partners it may have? It weakens its negotiating position.

"nothing tangible" when seen through the prism of a 99% loss, over a 10 year wait, would justify pessimism. Is EMA ODD, FDA ODD and a 1mln fund raise in zero time "nothing tangible"? are RNSs discussing openly about pharma partners (potential), additional data needed, money spent on such studies, and the potential of a deal prior to any studies being concluded a figment of Dan's imangination?

At the end of the day, a real investor cannot wait for ALL positive events to happen BEFORE taking a position.

So, my learned friend, what do you recommend? SELL or HOLD? and what is the investment rationale for that?

I say BUY and I explain why, albeit also being called a ramper by those who have lost 99% of their original investment but - for reasons unknown - still appear here to warn us about the "imminent hell approaching".

Yes, CMC might take the shares initially for its own account, but a) it may still apportion to selected clients b) it still needs a story to expect a decent chance of making money, right?

Soup, likely, but you are assuming that NFX only became aware of the ODD designation at the same time as the Market.

With so much money AZ is making, and interest in oncology (NPX002) and rare diseases (NPX0004), what are the chances of a p/ship deal?

Why assume that all Placees will want to sell for a quick profit (or even crystallise a loss)? The Co raised very quickly after the ODD, soon after the war had started, 1 mln (i.e. 25% of its then mkt cap, appx), obviously it managed to do so because it had a "story" to sell; the story was about the deals that were/are potentially close (weeks/months), at a high probability; why invest money in a minnow, with zero profits, nasty track record of dilutions etc, unless there was something compelling? And I am not talking about the quick 30-40% return some insiders made on the day after the ODD.

Update looks good, things appear to be developing positively and Co is planning ahead for further expansion. No comments on cash issues, so extra positive IMO.

Check my rationale, Soup, pls; if each add. study is costing eg 100k and NFX is talking to 5 parties now, this'd mean it's currently spending 500k for these 5 studies; but why'd the Co spend this money w/o any certainty of a deal? Would it not make more sense to do 1 study at a time, to minimise the expense and move on to the next one (study #2 etc) only if/when the first party walked away?

We will know if you are right in a year or so, IMO; if you are wrong, we will know much earlier; that's the beauty of being "long".

Assuming the studies are a success, can anyone (Soup, maybe?) enlighten us whether any deal 'd be on an exclusivity basis, or whether a combination of p/ships might still be possible (eg one large pharma, one speciality etc)?

Thanks again; yes I agree with your comment "The strategy is that someone will partner before they get to that point later this year"; the Co is spending money to achieve this goal thus, we'd have news on this front before the summer is out .

Soup, thanks; I was referring to the actual number you mentioned ie. 1mln - the Co never mentioned a figure for the cost of the specific studies for add. data.

Littlened, short answer is, IDK - maybe if I was down 99% on my original investment after being invested for 10+ years, I'd post here to "protect new investors from PnDers", even though I don't understand why a PnDer would try to play an illiquid stock, with 5-10% Bid-Offer spreads; while, in reality, the only ones making money are the insiders, who buy or sell before material RNSs. IMO.

Soup, where is this based upon, please? "The £1m will cover the inhaled toxicology studies only" ; is it your assumption?

GLucks, I'd say a year and a half (to Sept 2027) as NFX burns about 500-600k pa but this year they should be spending more, especially on the specific studies. But yes, still plenty of time to do the studies and wrap up some deals (for the optimists). For the pessimists, I guess it doesn't matter as "NPX002 is worthless" and/or "nobody will go into p/ship with NFX", so having cash to end 2027 is irrelevant.
