Share price generally falls more than 8.4p on ex dividend date. It can only stay above if market is expecting a better than expected trading update on 13th May. Anyway at current price, you are in fact buying shares at 95p after you take off sweet 8.4p dividend. But do not forget that 89p is also round the corner... LOL!

Well done! but it would have been nicer if you could predict the direction of Centrica share from their history. LOL!

Stock trading should be fun. You don't bring emotions when you lose. By the way I am not laughing at you or others but the way this share been going down one way! Compare SSE , National Grid with Centrica on daily basis, you will soon realise that something is seriously wrong with this company.

Hoping for a decent rise in the next 2 days! Sweet 8.4p dividend is just around the corner! LOL...

We may have finally hit the floor at 105p. Look for 120p before ex dividend date.

Conn always assured that dividend is safe and yet the share price kept falling down. Thats the only thing he has done good for Centrica shareholders! Pay rise at this stage is not good but share price performance is not on his hands.. He has lot of shares on his own name!

LOL! slowly getting there.... Next week we will be touching 99p! Only good thing about this share is its been falling down only by 1-2% everyday.

How do you know that the dividend is safe? I have never said dividend is safe but did say that dividend paid on 9th May {ex dividend date} is safe. But after the trading update on 13th May, anything can happen.

2> Constant broker downgrades dividend cut & missing forecast warning! One broker even gave them a price target of 95p!

We are heading to new low to 104p today. Share price is on a slow poison death. You may not even feel it before they hit below 90p.. LOL!

to make it more worse, UBS cuts the price target to 110p from 130p. Dont know when these brokers will stop downgrading and outages will be restored in the background when more and more shorters appear!

Hardly enough?? LOL! These were the guy bet £83 million against Centrica share price to fall when the share price was at 115. It only reflected 1% short! Look at the share price now. Big guys shorting FTSE 100 stock should warn you all!

Well.. you can assume anything you want, but the real fact is these guys knows the company better inside out. They wont be shorting it for fun with their millions of funds especially at these low price when ex dividend date is just round the corner!

We are now at 105p... it wont take much time to drop below 100p. 89p will be my next top up .

Blackrock upped their short position yesterday. They should have some inside information which no one have. They are betting that share price will fall further. Energy switch was at 11% since Jan 2019 when price cap came into force. Dont know its good or bad and how badly centrica affected by the switches... All will come out on 13th May after the ex dividend date. You would need to enjoy sweet 8,4p dividend before the result. Who knows this may be the last and you may need to wait couple of years before they retain them.

At current price, its time to buy but not too much.. Its definitely a great entry point and then top up once it they hit below 90p. No one knows the future but atleast may dividend is safe. At current price you are buying at 98p after ex dividend.
I am in with low shares... will top up little close to ex dividend and then heavily after the result if it stays below 90p.

By the way, CONN fighting for his job. Centrica still valued at £6 billion market cap and still a FTSE 100 stock although not behaving like AIM, LOL!

SSE and NG both down 1%, expect centrica to drop rapidly. Share price should drop to minimum 2.5p today... £1 is guaranteed by next week.

Its clearly waiting to drop to 89p. This should be the level to buy. Forget about the dividend as it will be definitely cut or totally removed. May result will be even worse than expected. So if you are looking to buy to top up wait for drop below 90p. This price is guaranteed when market corrections happens. With FTSE at almost 7500 , this had been trading down and when correction happens to below 7000 , it will be more disaster for share price!

They shorted the shares for ££££ amount - that's lost as they cannot trade anymore means their investment is zero. Have they closed their position before they entered administration they could have made millions of Profit. So please understand the logic.

Feel sorry for Odey and other shorters who lost fortunes on their profit plus their invested money to shoot almost 8% of the share. LOL.

It's a happy end for all.. MA after playing fool lost all his money, Odey lost all after heavily shorting , bucher butchered his shares money, CEO and employee stays for now and are the winner..
