It's nice that the company is keeping it's shareholders updated with the progress on the ground.
Line surveying and clearing crews, which mobilised last week, will locate and clear lines for data acquisition.
The process, will trim vegetation for the laying of seismic geophone nodes and provide access for vibroseis-trucks and support vehicles during data acquisition.

This is John's email to me on 2/2/2021.
'we have always said the samples will be sent once the plant is optimised. We said in the interview last week, this is still being worked through but should be completed in the next week or so. However, we are not rushing the process just to get the samples to QFI.
If I get the chance before I leave Utah I will look to do another interview.'
Hopefully, not long now...

Things moving in the background at least.
Previous, RNS did say Guyana to be finalised by end of Q2, so I guess it was more of me hoping or wishful thinking of my that it'll drill next year.
It does explain why the company has gone to purchase the other asset, atleast we will get a decent ROI in the interim.
West Newton A Site Planning Update
Union Jack Oil plc (AIM: UJO), a UK focused onshore hydrocarbon production, development and exploration company, notes that Rathlin Energy (UK) Limited ("Rathlin" or "the Company"), the Operator of PEDL183, has communicated the following positive planning update to local residents and the West Newton Community Liaison Group.
"Rathlin has received a Screening Opinion from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council in response to the Company's screening request for the proposed West Newton A site extension.
"The proposed extension of the existing West Newton A (WNA) wellsite and associated work programme would provide for testing, appraisal and production from the two existing wells (WN-A1 and WN-A2) and the potential for drilling, testing, appraisal and production from up to six (6) new wells on the WNA site over a 25 year period.
"The East Riding of Yorkshire Council`s Screening Opinion considers that the proposed development would not comprise EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) development.
"Rathlin will be undertaking public consultation on the West Newton A site development plan over the coming months and ahead of the submission of any formal planning application.
"Information regarding the screening request is available on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council`s planning portal."
It's been derisked, so the proof of concept has been proven.
I expect more PR in the coming days/weeks.
Just a waiting game now, easy hold with output to be increased by 150% within next few weeks.
Feed end of Feb.
Easy buy and hold all day long!
I have shares in both my ISA and SIPP.

POSP Update
TomCo Energy plc (AIM: TOM), the US operating oil development group focused on using innovative technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, is pleased to provide a further update in respect of Greenfield Energy LLC ("Greenfield"), the Company's 50/50 joint venture with Valkor LLC ("Valkor"), and the work being undertaken by Greenfield with respect to Petroteq Energy Inc's ("Petroteq") existing oil sands plant at Asphalt Ridge, Utah (the "POSP").
Further to the announcement on 6 January 2021, the Company is pleased to confirm that the POSP is operating and producing oil at the anticipated volumes and quality, with no issues to date. As at the close of business on 19 January 2021 the POSP had produced over 100 barrels of oil and the intention is to increase test production to approximately 250 barrels of oil per 12-hour shift over the next few weeks, following the completion of the current optimisation work.
All other elements of the project remain as previously announced, including progressing the planned test work and third party engineering analysis, and the Company looks forward to providing further updates as matters progress.
Commenting, John Potter, CEO of TomCo, said: "We are very pleased with the POSP operations and initial oil production. The planned test work and third-party engineering analysis is also underway as we work on further optimising the POSP and increasing production. We look forward to reporting on our continuing progress in the coming weeks."
We will get the attention but when we are bit more closer to the drilling, as peeps take their position.
With average of of just over 7p, i will happily accumulate as i see a good return on my investment by the time we drill. It just requires patience and i tell myself to ignore the short term fluctuations in the interim.
Interesting, let's see how things go.
Here's my thinking:
Feb - Plan of Development to be reviewed and approved, hopefully we get a RNS on approval.
March - Formal application made to be granted EL.
Q2 - fund raise above 5p
Heron to be drilled 2nd H.
All imo, just a waiting game for now, so let's see where we are by end of Q1 and re asses.
