RE: Rampers/Derampers27 May 2021 19:07
I personally think there are paid rampers and de-rampers.
An office full of people working together in chat rooms, twitter, face book etc could easily put out enough false information to get some movement in a company’s share price.
Look at BZT last year first with a false news storey and then backed up by dogs in BB’s. It knocked the SP down massively and long enough for some group to either close a short or mop up cheap shares.
Even a muppet like Fastjet managed to scare some people into selling out yesterday.
If that same play was done on multiple social media sites someone could have made a killing buying in on the cheap at some inexperienced PI’s expense.
Rampers on the other hand are playing on people’s greed instead of fear.
Bigging up a mediocre RNS or just spreading lies to push up the SP.
The people running these scams could hold millions of shares so a 10% rise could net them a small fortune in minutes and killing the SP afterwards.
AIM is a big gamble with potentially massive rewards but there are people out there who want to take your money.
Do your own research and don’t invest more than you can afford to lose.
Don’t be taken in by anything you read on social media from people you don’t know.
Most posters are decent people but until your sure about that, don’t take any advice.
And certainly not from Fastjet or Dazaliam.
That’s my 2p’s worth
