Curious (and quite nasty) behaviour, donalb. Oilman Jim has been one of the biggest supporters of PRD for several years. Both his Sunday blog and Private blog yesterday were positive. His support is one of the reasons the share price is at this level.

Now, for some strange reason, the PRD shareholders want to attack and try to hurt him.

All I think you're going to end up with, Androcles, is just company paid for commentary (Proactive, Malcy, ShareTalk, etc. ) with no independent interpretation.

If I was an independent commentator reading the comments on this board, I think I might just say f*** it and go over to the other side, telling you all the things you want ho hear and getting paid nicely for it.

Rabito: you need to take these issues up with the people who made the statements with which you disagree, including their publishers. Josh Young's work for example was published by Seeking Alpha, which I understand is a credible US investment site.

Peakybrum: here's my view. N&S are credible, however, that alone is not sufficient to bring in industry interest. It will all come down to the content. There will be highlights, which will be highlighted to the public, then the detailed assessments and caveats which won't. It will all come down to the details in the report, of which we have no knowledge.

A report is not an endorsement in itself. Anyone with money can retain them to report on anything. A negative report still has value to a client since they then know to refrain from expanding further funds.

What's sad are the losses you guys are nursing as a result of your arrogance.

Scot started the tone here with his personal attacks on those with opinions contrary to his narrative, opinions which ironically turned out to be right.

Others contine with an arrogant, sneering attitude even though they've been shown to have been completely wrong in their assessments.

Perhaps the "old guard" should be a little more polite.

You'll also see that he knows a LOT about the industry.

What you seem to have missed is Oilman Jim's thesis. Essentially only go for a small number of "certainties" and exclude those which are less certain. There is no need to be in everything. You should try reading his book. You might learn something.

Perhaps you could explain who you are, GRH, and your significance in all this.

There certainly was nothing negative about PRD in his private blog yesterday.

The stupidity of this is massive. Low information investors turning on Oilman Jim, who has been one of PRDs biggest supporters for a number of years.

All because some guy called Tony says Louis is Jim.
