A lot of people don't get this, that the "interviews" are paid for by the companies- and they're willing to pay for them when they want to raise funding.

In no way should they be compared with interviews conducted by normal journalists, who have no interest in interviewing them, since their readers in turn aren't interested.

What the companies are really paying for is the interviwer's audience, small but focussed and actually interested.
