Losing the will to live over the ML. JW has stated on occasions, decision is within weeks only for many months to pass. The delay is political not environmental. When it suits the Government, we will know.

For each buyer, there must be a seller. If a significant number of buy trades are printed without impacting the share price, it means one thing...the seller or sellers are bigger and ongoing. If it was a buyer I would be more worried as to how easy it was to buy 1% at the lowest price for a while...must have been a seller.

At 1% of the company, it is confusing. Is it a holder who took the placing? If it is a buyer, where has the stock come from. It would mean there is a lot of stock slopping around. Without positive news, this would threaten lower prices short term.

I suspect the large trade is a seller completing an order.

There is the large print seller i expected. Lets hope he is done. If he took stock in the placing, he's/they are cheapskates.

If that is the case, either a large sell print in the morning (delayed) or the market had quite a bit of stock on its books which it is happy to lighten up.

What on earth is this public body doing. Having had a protracted public consultation last year, what justifies extending this new consultation. What could possibly be gained? Something, or someone, is keeping a lid on this project. It smells of political skulduggery.

I suspect they are not all buys...if they were, you must ask, where is the stock coming from. Either the market took a large slug in placing or one of the large takers of stock is taking a quick buck. This is usual indigestion post this type of action. We must just hope demand remains strong, especially as the issue was over subscribed. We need something new to reignite the momentum. Without it, we may struggle to make any headway in the short term.

I too have applied for more than allotment. The share price seems remarkably stable. I see it as, either the issuing house is keeping the shares up to encourage additional uptake...or, they are holding it down so they don't look like they priced it too cheap....hope its the latter

Given that the 14m share placing, aimed mainly at institutional and large shareholders, starts officially trading today, it suggests all went well and the majority is in safe hands. The indigestion looks to be short lived. The second issue of 2m shares , via a rights issue, to all existing shareholders, will not be a problem. On a basis of 1 new share for every 29 held (at 45p), demand will be more than sufficient. Any shortfall will be easily placed. Onwards and upwards with a close above 52p still an important target.

Interesting article in DT. The Swedish outpost pioneering fossil-free steel. It highlights intensions by Swedish energy company, Vattenfall, to build 120,000 sq mtr LINED underground storage facility...this must cost far more than the proposed salt cavern storage at IM. Just highlights once again how this project is right on the money. This type of article completely kills off the environment argument about short term saline pollution.

Just as with the placing at 35p, we will have a period of indigestion but not as prolonged. This is perfectly natural. The fundamental reason for being a shareholder has not changed, in fact, given the investment in new technology this enables, maybe even strengthened. As shareholdes we put trust in a board of directors to use our money (share capital) wisely. To date, I remain happy with their decisions. Yes, risks remain but for now, I look forward with optimism. Technically, only a close below 42p would concern me. A close above 52p, the Oct 2019 closing high, would possibly encourage me to add further. Lets hope a post Brexit freedom allows Boris to carry out his election pledge to re- vitalise the regions. Wishing you all a happy Xmas and a positive 2021.

If the issue is fully subscribed as expected, all should be well. As the market cap increases, more institutional investors will be drawn in. Love to see the SP higher this evening...very possible

From todays prints and current price, I would say the market has a reasonable buyer. They are hoovering up dribs and drabs in a very weak market. Won't be surprised to see a couple of large prints near 50 later if they can get enough stock.

Strange price action this morning. Normally, the presence of the large seller keeps the quite days in check and under pressure. Either he has upped his price for selling or has done for now.

Having been originally due in 2019, I think its delay is behind the ML can being kicked down the road. If the government states storage, the likes of which planned at IM, is a key to delivering its long term energy strategy, the pressure is off DEARA and they can rule that the environment objections, whilst sympathetically considered, were usurped by the long term plans of the governments green agenda.
