The content was, in my opinion, lacking in pertinent detail.
Firstly, the huge dilution has been to buy assets around the UK out of administration, not just Belfast. These assets combined have a huge footprint of fabrication and all at rock bottom cost. Then their is director remuneration, this was a one off bonus and not annual salaries.
Next, it would have been worth mentioning the value of IM c£45m vs the current market cap c£28m.
Yes, have your own opinion about military spending but it is poor financial advice to ignore this huge potential revenue stream due to your dislike of, defence. H and W will only make significant profits if it secures some the many contracts the MOD intends. These contracts will enable the Belfast and Appledore yards gear up sufficiently to finally compete on the world's stage making a return to commercial ship building a possibility...But I must say, welcome on board.

Hi Stokey. Clearly a seller, same player who sold 200k yesterday. He has been hanging around for some time. The market was happy to sell chunks between 18:60and 19 knowing he is on the hook. Given the demand since Xmas, without this seller, we would be back above 20p. I have added another 50,000 this week.
One of two things need to happen, either he stops supplying or the company announce that they have one of the 100 non disclosure contract negotiations they are currently involved in.

A decision on the winner(s) of this huge wind contract is due this January. BP have already stated that they will make Scotland its hub for this technology but more importantly, they want to dramatically expand Scottish shipbuilding, fabrication etc. This was a commitment back in July during submission of bid. H and W would be a significant winner from this huge investment. All bidders have made some form of commitment to Scotland. No surprise I guess.

The FTSE hits a new post covid high today (spread betting market +1% )...they know the reality about covid.
In mid October, global covid cases were around 406,000 (daily average). Yesterday, the daily average hit 860,000, up 110%. Mainly due to a huge rise in testing and the onset of the northern hemisphere winter surge...Meanwhile, Covid related deaths since mid October have fallen from a daily average of 6,700 to 6,000 today...yes, down 10%. Omicron has passed through Sth Africa with covid related deaths per million of population only 6 (last 7 days average). This compares to 24 in Germany, 23 in USA, 23 in France and 11 in the UK. Omicron is no more worrisome than cold/mild Flu.

What concerns me is where is the stock coming from. Is it placing stock cutting losses? The volume is way ahead of normality for a company of this size.

Ming yang has signed an agreement with UK government to start major UK investment in whirly gig bits. Looks as though more of the North Sea investment will generate UK jobs. Potentially good for H and W.

I need to clarify as I may have caused some confusion. It seems Allianz have not taken up their rights in previous issues which has diluted their holding. Given all institutions have a time, return requirement, I can see how they have become a bit frustrated given they have been in INFA/H&W for a long time.
However, that negative is offset by a positive. At the EGM I was talking to an investor who went to the Methil open day and he mentioned he met an Allianz representative. The institution must have been impressed as the rns on their reduced % holding confirmed that they had taken their allocation in the 20p placing.
So contra to all the misguided talk of them selling in the open market, the truth is they are as solid behind the company as they ever were. That gives me heart.

I found an article in Feb 2020 which linked Bab****, Ocea of France and Lurssen of Germany. Then in May this year, another linking Ocea and Fincantieri of Italy. Looks like the field might be being played. If H and W get it, would be a big scalp but the detail will be in the cost.
