I read the comments on the oil prospect in Chad by Aimer and agree that any oil discovery north of Chad's border with its southern neighbours has massive potential, particularly, if a local refinery can then accommodate the production.
The present cost of trucking fuel and gas from the southern coast is horrendous and the already appalling roads are further damaged by the daily traffic of large convoys heading for Chad.
If a good quantity of gas is found with the oil, then a local operation, with a similar strategy to VOG in Cameroon, could be viable to develop local manufacturing and power generation.
As to the AU project in SL, if the processing plant is installed and commissioned at the end of the wet season, then the sp should get some encouragement once we have the December production figures.
