Gold Bull run continues ? Opinion on Bloomberg from major AU miner. Quote The world’s best-performing major gold miner has some soothing words for investors battered by hawkish Federal Reserve comments: the metal bull run is intact. Bullion prices are supported on the physical side by environmental and social restrictions to supply and strong demand led by India and China, and on the financial side by the U.S.’s limited scope to increase interest rates, according to Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SA. The New York-listed shares in Latin America’s biggest home-grown gold miner have tripled this year, outperforming all members of an index of large producers in the same span. “In the long-term I have no doubt that the gold price will continue rising,” Chief Financial Officer Carlos Galvez said in an interview in New York Monday. “It’s increasingly hard to replace reserves. There haven’t been any world-class discoveries over the past 10 years.” End of Quote So, not the end of AU just yet
Clutching at straws, well maybe, but near where I live a large company suddenly ceased trading because of XYZ reasons and buried in the 'mud' were some pending legal outcomes that were going to hit the company very hard, possibly destroying it, so the directors jumped before they could be pushed and re-emerged under a new name but more or less in the same type of business, except for where the dirty washing occurred. They have since regained the trust of many of their former business connections and are slowly getting back on their feet. The old legal 'liabilities' are now in the past......... Is this is what could be happening with SBLM ? It would be nice to think that all is not lost, particularly for my own peace of mind....
Avrohom. How about a some good news about the coal project after the RNS is published first. After all if coal is going up in price, some discussion on how and why the higher prices will help the company in due course is surely inevitable. So, as an uneducated guess, let's anticipate an SP of 0.23 by day end and then 0.25 by Friday close of business. Why not ? Once the legal biff boff in Liberia is ended without excessive fines, etc, then 2.5 is surely not unreasonable. IMPO.
Tozerk. I suggest you press the SBLM Fundamentals icon at the top of this page, second line an read on. You will discover from the data there that this share IMPO is worth many times its present SP value. Also if thewhole 'legal process' in Liberia was, in reality an unwilling vehicle to detach a certain politico in Liberia from the very controlling position he occupied, then it appears to have worked. To maintain an appearance of integrity, no one will actually celebrate, but in a little while, IMPO, the accused SBLM will be rebuked for presuming that any official, however apparently eminent, has authority to act on behalf of an official department outside the required formalities; a fine will be imposed and normality will gradually returns. As a coal licence is also awaited elsewhere, worth a very great deal of money, SBLM is not dependent on Liberia, but it will be better for the upward mobility of the SP, once that problem is sorted out. BOL
More like taking the waters.....
Reading back through the Interim Results RNS, published earlier this year, to my limited understanding there appears to be as much financial potential with the Zimbabwean coal project as the Liberian iron ore prospect, with coal having the chance of a quicker and more secure return. However nothing with Zimbabwean connections is straightforward, but it could mean that waiting on the outcome of current legal actions, does not tie the hands of the BoD from earning their pay at the 'coal face'. Intelligent comment would be appreciated. GLA
Bonkers99 Intrigued in your use of parallels on ProRealTime. Any other settings than daily? 5mins or 1 hour, etc ? What do you think of the software and do you find the payback is worthwhile. If I may trouble you further, have you tried auto-trading ? Sorry to bother but I am very, very slowly getting used to it. Lots to do yet. Thanks.
Mannan. Can you tell us more.......PLEASE
Uk2Nigeria. Right or wrong, I think you may have offered a ray of sunshine. Me, I am not proud and would happily sell my modest shareholding for £2.0 per undiluted share. Offers on a £20 note please. .........to be or not to be, that is the question
Trev74. Suggest that if DTM advises a little more patience, then we have nothing to lose by staying calm until we know whether or not the main men have pulled this errant investment back into the land of the living. Thereafter we can only hope that a high degree of integrity is exercised by the BoD to ensure our tenuous investment becomes a reality again. Yes, SpanT, I am an optimist...... Bon Weekend a tous .
dh42. I seem to remember the name Thomas being mentioned in the example you cited, although perhaps the age of miracles pertained specifically to the corpus humanus. So 'back to the future'. DV
UK2Nigeria All the factory equipment, capital assets, etc should still be in place and for all we know work continues on the project. What is missing is our direct title via AIM to the company through our share holdings. Dare one presume the company is honourable and will exchange our AIM shares for the equivalent on ISDX ? Until tomorrow, or the day after........ Peace, Salaam, Shalom.
Copied the following from elsewhere on LSE regarding PTV. "My understanding is that the company won't trade in AIM anymore, but will solely be traded on ISDX... Some news is coming but just taking slightly longer than expected... We continue waiting I guess..." ....to dream, perchance to dream!

Span. Thanks. I checked Invesstgate first thing this morning but not the LSE website. So, is this the end or...... The InterRegnum
Span. I could not find it on Investgate either so is it for real ? Does DTM know?
We have not had any form of RNS about the demise of the company, neither did the departure of the last Nomad appear to be based on anything other than the apparent departure of the CFO, who subsequently did not depart. So is the Investgate/FTSE link provided earlier this evening by HmmEbs, a warning to PTV as to what will happen after tomorrow (Tuesday) if an RNS is not published tomorrow indicating PTV is still a living entity, or is it the Undertaker's knock because the patient has already been certified as dead. To pursue this morbid analogy, if the 'patient' was or is in the last throes of life, can it then lawfully authorise AIM shares to have a new lease of life on ISDX, or is the whole shebang heading the 'non life' . Sorry if my appreciation of our situation upsets anyone recently bereaved.
Thanks spantrout.
Do the number of PTV shares I have in AIM, have any value or relevance in ISDX ? Answers on a fiver please.
If an RNS is logged today for publication tomorrow, is it still in the 30 day window?
